Should I be wearing boden? Im well on my way to becoming a mummy and since entering this realm I hear the word boden several times a day. Will my primarni just not cut it no more?

Boden makes me think of my 50-odd year old uni lecturer. I don't know how much of their stuff she actually wears but every time I went to her office it was FULL of Boden parcels. She noticed my shock and said 'ah, there was a sale on!'....

Wear what you feel comfortable in. I'm almost 23 and my mum doesn't wear Boden yet ;)

Boden is awful.

Boden. Rubbish customer service. I won a t shirt via little yeo yogurts. Rang up yesterday to order one. Got through to an idiot who had not heard of the competition. It's been on since march on all little yeo packs. Told me to look at yeo valley web site. No use as the date to enter codes has passed, but you can order the free t shirt until 30 June...
So I'm not liking boden at all for being useless.

it doesn't suit many people (looks FAB in the catalogues though) so most people just look like frumpy sheep wearing it!

I gave it a go to find out what the hype was about, I ended up buying about 6 pieces (because the first 3 arrived STINKING of cigarette smoke so I got compensated). - I use 2 pieces, one just when nothing else is clean, I only actually LIKE wearing 1 of the 6 pieces I bought! The rest was un-flattering, VERY un-sexy, and looked scruffy after about the third wear!

1 out of 6 is bad odds, I wont risk it again!

That is really disgusting. I thought boden was by middle class for middle class..obviously not!

What is it with Boden and Mumsnet. I never gave Boden a thought till I came here a few weeks ago. I saw some flowery raincoats and they were dire. But I expect somethings must be nice. It's probably just me that doesn't get it.

its just that the catalogue makes it all look SO NICE! like if I dressed our family in it we'ld spend summers invited to mess about on friend's boats..

I bought a bikini the other day and I have to say, it is v flattering and not at all unsexy. Their beach tunics are very nice too.

All my other bikinis are from Primarni, OP - Primark do fab bikinis actually.

Camperfan. I want to believe you but I am struggling. Someone told me that their childrens pyjamas were good. They weren't.

I own two boden items - the same cord dress in two different colours.

The first one I think I paid less than £30 for as boden kept sending me 30% off codes and £10 vouchers and I got the second one in the sale as I liked the first one so much.

The dress is very simple but very flattering (I think anyway).

Have looked at other stuff but nothing jumps out.

I am 38 and buy most of my clothes from H and M, Dorothy perkins and Gap and actually was put off boden by the associations it has as a brand.....

If you see something you like go for it!
