I thought today was going quite well for a bit.

I think the problem was DS1's nap being held up by DS2 (10 weeks) needing fed and changed...

DS1 (2.9) who is normally quite chilled out just had a full rolling about screaming and crying tantrum about getting his nappy changed and going for a sleep. The screeching was awful Shock Meanwhile poor wee DS2 was abandoned on the floor crying too.

I though I'd just about got it sorted, nappy changed etc.

Picked up DS2 who projectile vomited over me and the wall. Put him down to clean it up and he did a loud poo which DS1 announced to me.

Cue me --crying a bit while- -trying to change DS2 while he puked milk repeatedly over himself and DS1 wandered about half crying that he didn't want to go to bed. I think I was a bit horrible to DS1 as he kept going on and on. :(

He's in bed now with about 10 cars after I let him play and calm down for a bit. I feel a bit shit for losing the plot as it's not his fault he got overtired.

I think I need a lie down. Jaffa cakes will have to do.

It sucks when it all happens at once, when you are just getting used to having 2 small people to keep happy and clean Grin

YANBU! I'd have two packets if I were you.

WhiteWidow · 24/06/2012 14:19

Not at all. I'd do the same.

As long as your bit the chocolate off, then ate the jelly, then the 'cake' bit ;)

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 24/06/2012 14:21

No, no, no. It has to be cake bit first then jelly bit.

Life is tough with small ones but one day you will look back and laugh probably.

CrispyCod · 24/06/2012 14:26

Sounds like you're having a tough day.

However, you should never ever have to justify eating a whole packet of Jaffa cakes. Just do it....because you can Grin

I ate a box of French Fancies and a box of jam tarts yesterday all by myself and that was on a good day!

hazchem · 24/06/2012 14:26

YANBU

Jaffa cakes are totally called for in this sort of circumstance!

PuppyMonkey · 24/06/2012 14:27

It is physically impossible not to eat the whole pack once you've opened the Jaffa Cakes.

jaggythistle · 24/06/2012 14:31

I really wanted some chocolate but Jaffa Cakes were the first thing I saw.

DS1 seems to have gone to sleep and DS2 zonked on my knee after more milk.

Phew!

griphook · 24/06/2012 14:35

Snap, but I've only eaten half the pack, but only cos I've eaten a bar of galaxy so now feel a bit sick, pretty much same reason just swap the vomit for chicken pox.

Ds1 is 2 and he goes on. Honestly they should turn it into a sport

jaggythistle · 24/06/2012 14:39

It wasn'y even real vomit, just a baby too full of milk. Chicken pox wins by miles!

Gumby · 24/06/2012 14:42

When does their dad get in so you can have a long bath?

Grin
griphook · 24/06/2012 14:45

O I'm sure it can be topped when ds2. 7 weeks gets next week! (quietly rocks in the corner)

curiositykitten · 24/06/2012 14:51

Totally justified in those circumstances.

DuffyMoon · 24/06/2012 14:51

1 of your 5 a day surely?

DanyTargaryen · 24/06/2012 14:54

No no, you have to do it like the old advert..

Full Moon
Half Moon
Total Eclipse!

JenFraggle · 24/06/2012 14:58

YABU jaggy as jaffa cakes are rank :o

jaggythistle · 24/06/2012 15:01

Grin If tea time is as bad I'm having some beer.

MousyMouse · 24/06/2012 15:01

yanbu at all!

I don't even need circumstances to eat a whole double pack off jaffa cakes!

jaggythistle · 24/06/2012 15:02

it is actually part 2 of a triple pack which fell into my trolley this week.

So I have a whole back up pack.

Spatsky · 24/06/2012 15:06

To be honest I would eat a whole packet of jaffa cakes on a perfectly good day so YANBU at all

BobbysBeardOfWonder · 24/06/2012 15:11

I wish I'd had Jaffa cakes or similar last Friday - DD pooed in the bath just when DS (6 weeks) started screaming Sad
That was a tricky one!

Icelollycraving · 24/06/2012 15:12

Yabu.
You don't need a reason for hoovering up having a snack of Jaffa cakes.

TodaysAGoodDay · 24/06/2012 15:12

I've got some Jammy Dodgers I can send you, sounds like you need them!

Longdistance · 24/06/2012 15:15

No, it's full moon, half moon, total eclipse!
Love that ad for jaffa cakes!

jaggythistle · 24/06/2012 15:15

noooo Boobys not a bath poo. Shock

I find any situation is exponentially hard to handle when accompanied by tiny baby screaming.

All is calm now, so I am making the most of 2 boys sleeping by mucking about on here Blush
