.....with baked beans is a random and a bit rubbish meal?

This is what my dh brought back from tesco.

The pizza has now just been delivered.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 03/06/2012 20:38

o k meal if you are constipated though.

PissyDust · 03/06/2012 21:14

We had corn on the cob this evening, as a side to ribs, wedges, coleslaw, pickles and salad.

Beans & Corn are side dishes.

I want pizza now!

rubyslippers · 03/06/2012 21:14

That's a lot of stuff to make you trump

McHappyPants2012 · 03/06/2012 21:30

EclecticShock · 03/06/2012 21:32

YANBU. Rubbish meal.

Whatmeworry · 03/06/2012 22:17

Depends if you are a veggie or not I guess.

chezchaos · 03/06/2012 22:22

I'm veggie and I wouldn't consider that a meal!

PandaWatch · 03/06/2012 22:46

Are you sure he didn't get a kfc value meal but ate all the chicken on the way home? Grin

HerRoyaleHoighnessDirona · 03/06/2012 23:32

Panda :o

I'd have corn on the cob and beans for a meal but I'm obviously weird and need to get a pizza menu or chicken :o

CaliforniaLeaving · 03/06/2012 23:42

Corn is an evil pointless food.

I agree.
It's a rubbish meal. Hope the pizza comes quick and not one with rubbish corn on it. Hmm

Buckingfiatch · 03/06/2012 23:48

Definitely not a meal.

Although I do fancy corn on the cob now...

(I don't like cheese, so therefore not a lover of pizza otherwise I probably would be wanting that instead)

McHappyPants2012 · 03/06/2012 23:53

Buck cheese less pizza are delicious, google vegan pizza ( I am a meat eater ) but sometimes put pepperoni or chicken ( plus buys a pizza base lol)

MammaTJ · 03/06/2012 23:55

I am fairly sure that sweetcorn is not even real food. It surely has no nutritional value as it comes out exactly the same as it goes in, like coins and beads.

cheesesarnie · 03/06/2012 23:57

almost as bad as my friend giving ds2 a potato waffle and cheesestring for dinner.

she didnt know what to feed a vegetarian child Grin

chipmonkey · 04/06/2012 00:08

Cheesesarnie, that is bad. I like my meat but have gone to great lengths to cook for vegetarians. Although my db's exgf was a bit painful to cook for as her preferred food was Linda McCartney ready meals.

I do like corn on the cob but think that meal was a bit lacking! The other problems with me and corn on the cob is that it's one of those veg I feel the need to douse with butter so probably not healthy at all for me.

Buckingfiatch · 04/06/2012 00:11

McHappy, shall try that :o

I do recall my cousin once going into a pizza place, and asking for a Cheese and Tomato pizza, but without the cheese Hmm also went into the Indian takeaway and asked for a Chicken Korma but without the chicken...

I haven't been able to show my face in either places since :o the drunken moo.

Corn may not be 'real' food, but my god, it is absofuckinglutely delicious.

JubileePartyInMyRoyalFanjo · 04/06/2012 00:14

Corn on the cob brings bad memories for me

piprabbit · 04/06/2012 00:15

Sometimes we have a meal of corn on the cob with a nice slice of bread and butter. Very yummy.
No beans though - that would be weird.

tartyflette · 04/06/2012 01:22

Corn on the cob needn't be slathered in butter There's a Gujerati area in NW London where you can get some good South Asian street food in late summer the vendors sell barbecued corn on the cob (cooked over an oil-drum bbq) seasoned with chili and lemon juice. S'wonderful. (As a snack, NOT a meal Grin)
