I live in Brighton & love it but there's no way I go near the beach/town when it's hot like this. Son & I spent the day in the garden with his paddling pool yesterday & he had a blast...without the crowds!

I was born and bred in Blackpool and while it is a lovely golden sand beach, I think I can probably count the number of times I've been in the water - that brown foam is just too much. I moved to Brighton for a year (couldn't stand it!) and hated the pebble beach but the sea looked so gorgeous - all blue and clear. I used to canoe in the sea - lovely!

The photo of the beach in Poole looked lovely - not too crowded, sandy, just right really!

Is the Peter Pan playground still in Worthing? I've often wondered, My parents used to drop us off there and come back later, (early 80s) it was fenced off, we had a whale of a time but I'd never do anything like that these days!
