Ha, that got you in,didn't it.

AIBU to start a thread to ask everyone who has ever been accused of being Mumsnet Royalty or one of the elite, or one of the populars, or insultingly been accused of being cliquey, quichey, prolific or all the many other insults, to sign in here.

I just want a list to refer to. Cos I reckon there are about a zillion of us, so I just want to prove that it isn't just a few of us who are up their own arses and think the site revolves around them

Whadayathink?

Thought so....Grin

Blatherskite · 24/05/2012 10:14

I made it into Bups FB group. Makes me part of the new Mouldies apparently

claireinmodena · 24/05/2012 10:24

Don't know much about who's royalty snd couldn't care less, but can you all please stop being sooo funny??
I am --wasting__ spending WAY too much time on MN and giggling to myself like s nutter Grin

theodorakis · 24/05/2012 10:31

MN would be boring without the quich cliques. It would be all parent and child spaces, unruly dogs and lunchboxes. And if there were no royal regulars, Pombear would never have lived on through the generations, a thread that never fails to cheer up my day no matter what.

Another forum I used to use, Qatarliving gives one point for each post so you can see who the prolific posters are and how likely they are to be a troll. I suggest going one step further and using the Ebay model of feedback and stars by the user"s name.
There could be a weekly feedback form for each member over, say, 100 points, with a prize for the top and bottom 3. Pombears for the winners and toy cars containing a trans gener driver parked half over a P and C and half disabled space eating from an unhealthy lunchbox, drinking friutshoot and calling their unruly dog to stop messing the pavement whilst abusing their MIL on their mobile.
It's a thought....

ChickensHaveNoLips · 24/05/2012 10:34

I'm a royal PITA

Re sconegate:

Someone upthread said that two threads had been scuppered by scones (!) in the last few days.

First one was started by a complete arsehole who said that she was glad that her friend had had a moiscarriage as she couldn't look after her dogs Hmm. It was all going to ratshit and the op was getting blasted so just thought it would be a good idea to completely ignore the vile op and talk about something else so I just said 'let's ignore this and talk about scone - jam or cream'. It was just a diversionary effort. Then when the op started another thread (when the first was banned) the scone bollocks carried on. I thought it was a good example of self moderation.

The thread the other day re trolls - I have no idea why that scone convo started but it wasn"t malicious or designed to be exclusive.

I count amongst my mumsnet mates those who have been here years and also those who have been here 5 minutes - the longer time posters on here are not the cliquey bastard toddler group harridans as some people would have us believe.

LadyBabsFlashesHerFanjo · 24/05/2012 10:58

I have Fanjo in my name (a flashy one at that), and was told yesterday I'm in a clique

Does this mean I can be on the list?

YourFanjoIsNotAHandbag · 24/05/2012 11:04

I have fanjo in my name too, if lady is on the list, I want to be too

PickledFanjoCat · 24/05/2012 11:07

Using the name Fanjo is nothing more than a sad attempt to ingratiate yourself with the Royalty.

You ought to be ashamed.

LadyBabsFlashesHerFanjo · 24/05/2012 11:14

but, but, but, I really did flash it Blush twice

LadyBabsFlashesHerFanjo · 24/05/2012 11:14
PickledFanjoCat · 24/05/2012 11:15

I blame sillybeardydaddyman he brought us to this.

Empusa · 24/05/2012 11:16

Another Wolef signing in.

I don't understand why having friends is so offensive to some people?

LadyBabsFlashesHerFanjo · 24/05/2012 11:20

I blame him too Pickled, but it's not his fault I flashed.

Just to clarify I didn't flash sillybeardydaddyman I hope

LadyBabsFlashesHerFanjo · 24/05/2012 11:28

MyDog, I've only just noticed your new name.

Has your dog eaten Money? Do you think he/she could eat some and then double it? Grin

nickelbarapasaurus · 24/05/2012 11:31

now this thread looks very similar to my dinosaur thread - LadyBabs is flashing her Fanjo everywhere ! Shock

LadyBabsFlashesHerFanjo · 24/05/2012 11:33

I know, sorry Blush it does that sometimes.

at least there are no children emerging from it this time though Grin

AreWeHavingFunYet · 24/05/2012 11:41

I am quite new and I am yet to have a thread I started scuppered by scones

Generally I like it but then I don't expect everyone to hang on my every post as if it mattered.

I do wonder what some people are looking for from MN. Attention I suppose.

LadyBabsFlashesHerFanjo · 24/05/2012 11:47

I have started a few threads that got derailed by me mostly, I like it, you can have a conversation with people you recognise and slightly go back on topic when it needs to

AreWeHavingFunYet · 24/05/2012 11:48

Sorry posted too soon Blush

Wanted to add that I think going to a forum and starting a thread to say I was ignored by people chatting amongst themselves is a bit Confused

If I have a dinner party I don't expect everyone present to talk to me and only me all the time.

AreWeHavingFunYet · 24/05/2012 11:49

Maybe MN needs a republic section where royalty is not allowed and people stick to talking about the subject in hand Wink

nickelbarapasaurus · 24/05/2012 11:49

most of the threads i start aren't as popular as i'd hoped.

But Nickel your birthing thread(s) was epic

LadyBabsFlashesHerFanjo · 24/05/2012 11:55

If you go and take yourself too seriously, MN-etters will smell your righteous blood in the water from 3 miles away, and they will instantly attack Here Here Grin
