I really do understand why there is a 'flouncers corner' on this site and I understand why people feel the need to go to it!
Six months ago I joined this site and on my first ever thread there was about 10 people who all clearly knew eachother and started their own conversation and completely ignored me! I felt really unwelcome but just thought it was a one off. Ever since then I've begun to realise that its like school on here and theres the 'popular' group who seem to think that everyone should know who they are and so they just hijack everyone elses thread and talk amongst themselves ignoring other people in the process! I was even in a thread yesterday and there was a discussion and one of the popular ones said something along the lines of ' oh its jack, havent seen you for a while, hows your dad?'
To me that was rude and if you know eachother that well then shouldn't you be emailing or private messaging instead of being so rude? I can honestly say I have said something regarding to what the OP was asking and been completely ignored by what send like the usual lot talking about scones or something Hmm
Another thing which I hate is all the private jokes flying around which is between the usual lot and no one else. Fanjo??? Grow up!
The only time people seem to get noticed is when they have changed their name to something like one of the popular peoples names! Remember the whole 'whos impersonating sue's thing yesterday??? seems like thats all people cared about as yiu are sooo popular so

Maryz I'm glad your RL thing went without anyone being harmed.

Now take a look at my puppy

You may borrow him but I will warn you he has a penchant for socks and shoes and I'm fairly sure he's buried some.

MaryZapalasaurus · 23/05/2012 17:11

Bloody Hell Fenton, that's not fair [weeps]

Between you and HoneyDragon, and all the fecking kittens, not to mention little Shirley I am feeling old and deprived and unloved Sad

^^^And that's me really being sad, not sarcastically sad at nasty insinuating self-righteous horrible people.

Sad
OhChristFENTON · 23/05/2012 17:11

Won't anyone think of the Royalty Sad

MaryZapalasaurus · 23/05/2012 17:11

I'm not looking at anyone's profiles any more Envy

nickelbarapasaurus · 23/05/2012 17:12

nickelbarapasaurus · 23/05/2012 17:13

I love you Maryz (especially cos you still have your dinosaur name on)
:)
Thanks and Brew for you.

MrsDBonitasaura · 23/05/2012 17:14

Fenton

Your pup is gorgeous. Not as fluffy as mine though. Who also likes socks and shoes, and slippers, and feet.

None buried, but we get herded and slippers nicked off feet if not on properly.

OhChristFENTON · 23/05/2012 17:17

Ooh, x-post a bit there.

Poor Maryz,

I luffs you, you are absolutely one of my very favourites here you know?

I was just thinking a couple of days ago 'where's that Maryz - me - luv?' and up you popped as if by magic and I breathed a sigh.

If it makes you feel any better (prob not) but I was feeling so old and past it today I lopped a load orf my hair Shock - it did not improve things let me say.

{{hug}}

OhChristFENTON · 23/05/2012 17:18

Hello!
I'm pretty new too and I do know what you mean - its all abit 15 year old bossy schoolgirl. Also, I remember some of the posts re/ the grand national controversy were so incredibly hysterical, ill natured and unpleasant (and surely not the way people would talk in their real lives please God?!) it totally repulsed me and I had second thoughts about the kind of people on here..

However, from the ante-natal group I'm on I can see that there's all sorts of people, some nice, some pretty odd.

Recently I started to wonder about the people who are on this ALL the time and know each others names etc and I can't help but conclude that they really must have the dullest actual lives. I cannot for instance imagine Christine Lagarde being on MN every 5 minutes! I just pop in once a day for 10 mins (or more if ill!).

Personally, as with facebook, I think its probably a healthy sign if you dont have close relationships with people you've never met! and I couldnt care less if someone remembers whether my father is ill or notices that I've changed my (hello, not real...!) MN name.

I wouldn't sweat it truthful - you're probably far more normal than those rudies!

TuftyFinch · 23/05/2012 17:22

I'm on a train. Again. And. I've just seen a woman stick her chewed up chewing gum up her short skirt. Probably onto her pants. I really did see it.

ChuckUFarlasaurus · 23/05/2012 17:25

Do they really get the old Mary? I thought that was just a myth to get us to teach them manners. Bollocks. I don't want teenagers.

MrsDBonitasaura · 23/05/2012 17:26

Haven't you seen Wrigley's newest gum, Tufty ? 'Stick 'o cum' ?

OhChristFENTON · 23/05/2012 17:27
MrsDBonitasaura · 23/05/2012 17:27

Or is it 'Cum 'n' stick' ? I can't 'member.

scrablet · 23/05/2012 17:28

What a gorgeous,baby.
I love the baby days. Enjoy!!

catgirl1976 · 23/05/2012 17:29

Thank you QueenofSiburbia for making realise how empty my life truely is.

I am dull. So very, very dull.

Maybe, through your post, I can find the power to change.

Pray for me.

OhChristFENTON · 23/05/2012 17:30

Tufty and MrsDB I have just guffawed at that!

(pardon me)

AmazingBouncingFalcarius · 23/05/2012 17:32

Queen I think that's a pretty ignorant and damn nasty post actually.
there is nothing unhealthy about online friendships. Things change with the times, before internet I would of no doubt made lots of friendships local to me, now I have the luxury to not only do that but also make good friends with people as far away as South London and Cumbria.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 23/05/2012 17:32

I am on the second page and have seen two mentions of scones this is an issue for me because I am pregnant. I now need scones. I am so fed up of you all talking about food and think you should be reported, or leave. I'm off to cry.

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 23/05/2012 17:33

Squueeeeee @ Tetherz bubbz
Thanks Tethers Smile

I wondered where everybody was.
