AIBU to be

a lurker? I joined about 6 weeks ago but have never got up the courage to post (except about twice!). But I so enjoy reading all the threads and it even makes me sometimes look at a possible different point of view. I feel a bit scared creating a thread as I have seen people be a bit..."direct!"

You are very brave I've been on here 15 months an never started a thread! I've posted on quite a few just never started one Grin

DogEared · 04/05/2012 19:39

What the bloody hell do you mean?! You are being unreasonable!!! You must leave him, right now!!!!

:o I'm only pulling your leg. Welcome! :)

Babylon1 · 04/05/2012 19:39

I threw myself in at the deep end and started a thread about DHs toilet habits on my first day! GrinBlush

Psammead · 04/05/2012 19:40

Welcome!

Brave to post in AIBU, but at least it's tame and not about something utterly dreadful like parent and child parking spaces.

AgentZigzag · 04/05/2012 19:40

I lurk more than I post, but the more you post the less self conscious you are about what you're saying.

Just get yourself in the throng and let rip - in a nice and polite way of course Smile

Mrsjay · 04/05/2012 19:41

hiya dont be scared Grin

FoofyShmooffer · 04/05/2012 19:41

Well you are now!

Lurker no longer.

Flee now, while you can. Grin

usualsuspect · 04/05/2012 19:41

Have a glass of wine or two , then get stuck in

choccyp1g · 04/05/2012 19:43

I'm mainly a lurker too, I only chip in occasionally (and usually get ignored Sad). But beware, you will soon find yourself thinking in Mumsnet-speak.

Thetokengirl · 04/05/2012 19:44

You are braver than me.
I mostly lurk, but have started several thread but never on AIBU.
YANBU, btw.

BumpingFuglies · 04/05/2012 19:44

YABU. Leave the bastard. You are entitled and vile and I am pulling my catsbum mouth. Grin Grin grin]

Oooh Hotel California Foofy!

"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave"

Welcome Happy Smile

Mrsjay · 04/05/2012 19:45

I have just noticed the Grin does look a bit manic and scary Hmm

ChronicToothAche · 04/05/2012 19:45

Here's your hard hat happy, just in case.

BumpingFuglies · 04/05/2012 19:51

Grin fussbucket

nancerama · 04/05/2012 19:54

Well done you! I lurk daily, post infrequently, and almost always seem to get someone's back up when I post.

I'm not a confrontational person at all and I try to get along with everyone IRL, but my clumsy fingers land me in it online. I am hapless.

happyhopefulmummy · 04/05/2012 19:55

Ahhh! I don't understand what a lot of you have said - cats bum Mouth?? (can guess at that one!)

But this is the only " room" I Ever read. Are there more?!

Babylon - if it was about your hubby spending hours on the bog And people commenting his bum Muscles will die in old age, I sent that link to my toilet obsessed husband and told him to read it in the hope he stops crapping and reading. It hadn't worked yet.

happyhopefulmummy · 04/05/2012 19:57

hasn't

Ah, Happy I've been thinking for some time there should be an "MN Disctionary". Would anyone like to help me describe catsbum?

BumpingFuglies · 04/05/2012 20:14

Loads of topics happy

sugarice · 04/05/2012 20:16

Is posting an opinion to be considered a lurker if you haven't started your own thread? Confused

nicklenackle · 04/05/2012 20:17

I am also here reading every day, but hardly ever post. I have no courage! Blush

BumpingFuglies · 04/05/2012 20:20

Ugh, of all the words to spell wrong...

Dictionary

sorrreeee

MaryPorter · 04/05/2012 20:20

I have only ever started one AIBU thread, and I got unanimous YANBU (You Are Not Being Unreasonable) so I've never tried again as I don't want to jinx myself Grin
