Dmil has been on holiday and is due back on Thursday...

Hmm

....drumroll

And I've really missed her!!!

I have been chatting to my pfb about how we can't wait to go and see her and fil on Thursday for cuddles! Have told my mum we will go to hers on Friday instead of Thursday and she was ... Shock... Fine with it!

(just turning the tide on mil threads) Grin

I love my MIL too.. I'd rather be around her than my own mother.. We chat on the phone a few times a week.. She's also coming to look after DD1 whilst I'm having DD2 (even tho DD1 was with my ExH) she's fantastic.. Smile

Marilyn1980 · 10/04/2012 12:51

Lucky you! can I borrow her?

MrMiyagi · 10/04/2012 12:52

Yabvu! :o

Neverever · 10/04/2012 12:53

I love my mil too she is the best.

mythical · 10/04/2012 12:54

I don't have the option of not getting along with MIL - we live together :o

Kayano · 10/04/2012 12:55

We often go to bingo together lol. We comfort each other because we are such losers. She only ever wins when I'm not there lol.

We are currently debating all saving up to go away for fil 60th birthday in like... 4 years time Smile

This reminds me of that thread in AIBU about the lovely MILs - it was so funny. Can anyone remember the title?

montymum · 10/04/2012 13:01

I love my MIL too. She is lovely and so laid back x

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 10/04/2012 13:43

I love my MIL too she is such a lovely lady, she rings me just to chat and DP hovers saying "does she want to speak to me" her reply is always "no thanks" Grin

My DP on the other hand has a nightmare MIL, I do feel sorry for him Wink

NoraHelmer · 10/04/2012 13:58

Mine's ok too.

McPopcornMouseNFries · 10/04/2012 15:45

What a lovely thread :)

Bartiimaeus · 10/04/2012 15:53

Mine is nice and considerate and has raised a lovely son Wink. just wish she'd stop worrying whenever we go anywhere/do anything and insist we ring to tell her we're back home safely, then give up waiting and ring us and wake up baby who'd finally gone to sleep in the car after crying for an hour

DH has a crazy, energetic, over-thinker of a MIL who can be annoying when repeating herself for the 1000th time. Fortunately he really likes her and her cakes Smile

MeconiumHappens · 10/04/2012 16:02

Mine's a bit of a tit. But im pleased for you Grin Wink

MeconiumHappens · 10/04/2012 16:04

Actually im a bit jealous. I wish i liked my mil more. She's ok, but just not the sort of person I could spend time socialising with and enjoy it.

LulaPalooza · 10/04/2012 16:05

I love my MiL too and miss her loads... she lives 6000 miles away :(

Pseudo341 · 10/04/2012 16:06

YANBU, I love my MIL too. I literally cried on her shoulder when I had PND, she's very kind. She goes away a lot and I rush round with DD to see her as soon as she gets back. My own mum is also awesome. I've very very lucky! :)

QOD · 10/04/2012 16:08

Mines got munchausens, eating disorder, bi polar, psychosis, dementia and vascular dementia and Alzheimer's

Shes nice to me and DD but fecking horrible to everyone else

birthdaygurl · 10/04/2012 16:11

She is okayish when things are going her way!

HipHopOpotomus · 10/04/2012 16:46

My MIL is lovely - not that we'd ever go for a drink or anything, and she's an obsessive worrier which I am not (don't go in the garden I saw a rat in there in 2007 - kind of thing), but she has a heart of gold, and she makes me laugh!

Kayano · 10/04/2012 19:23

Bump. My mil was invited to my wedding ner ner ner

Grin

She even paid for the disco and night time Wink but would have been invited anyway Wink
