Dmil has been on holiday and is due back on Thursday...

Hmm

....drumroll

And I've really missed her!!!

I have been chatting to my pfb about how we can't wait to go and see her and fil on Thursday for cuddles! Have told my mum we will go to hers on Friday instead of Thursday and she was ... Shock... Fine with it!

I wish mine gave more of a shit about how often she sees her DS/GC. She only lives half an hour away but we haven't seen her in about six weeks. If we ring to see if we can go there, she either says it's not convenient or agrees on the understanding that we don't stay very long. Yet she claims to adore the DC. Really doesn't show it. Sad

I loved mine even though she was opinionated and bossy but we lost her last summer to cancer. DD won't remember her which makes me sad. And, she was the only grandparent young/fit/sober/experienced/bothered enough to help out with childcare.

my MIL is just wonderful!

When my son was born we clashed a little, mainly because I was really pfb and didn't give her enough credit, but we go out for coffee twice a week at least and speak on the phone fairly regularly. I think she's just ace

This kind of talk makes me feel a little pukey! :)

Aww I love my MiL! I married her son when he was only 19 and she was 40 - the following year we got pregnant within weeks of each other - I gave birth to our first son and she had a daughter so we raised our children together plus she got all her grandchildren in the following years too - she is just lovely and she has just paid for us all to go on a big family holiday to Dublin for my nephews ( her grandsons) christening - can't wait!!

I miss my MIL, she passed away last year, she didn't get to meet my youngest DD as I was only 3 months pregnant when she died :-(
