To miss Troels Hartmann?

I just do. I miss his cheekbones, I miss his blonde hair, I miss his brooding ways. I don?t even mind too much that he happily popped over to the dark side at the end. He did it with such Scandinavian smoothness. I even liked his name. Mmmmmmmmm, Troels.

YANBU! Me too! V disappointed he wasn't in Killing 2. Will we ever see his like again?

mousymouseafraidofdogs · 22/03/2012 14:11

pssst - tonight 22:00 itv3 those who kill

"troels" is a high ranking police officer.

TheFarSide · 22/03/2012 14:13

Yes, he's in Those Who Kill but has GROWN A BEARD Shock and his character is a bit feeble.

MothershipG · 22/03/2012 14:16

OK, I can see the attraction in creepy Troels but have to say I was rather disappointed with the Killing after all the hype! It had some good points but was seriously irritating in many respects and I really cannot face no.2 (especially as it will have to be without Meyer!)

squoosh · 22/03/2012 14:52

I?ve heard he is on ?Those Who Kill? and was going to wait for the DVD, I like to gobble these things up in big chunks. I might have a peek tonight just to check the hair, the cheekbones, the brooding are as they should be. The idea of him being ?feeble? though, eeek.

My only complaint about The Killing is that there was no naked Troels. Aren?t these Scandinavian types meant to be more liberated, could he not have popped his clothes off even once? Maybe it?s in the DVD extras. Grin

And Mothership I?m going to over look the creepy comment (mutters ?may God smite her down for such heresy?), I too will miss Meyer in the second series, he was great and I was properly upset at his being bumped off. I will also overlook your not being overly enthused about The Killing. I feel much the same way about The Wire, I felt it was ok but couldn?t get all the fuss surrounding it.

So on to my next box set. I?ve always wanted to watch Mad Men but feel it would be disloyal at such an early stage to develop a crush on Don Draper (this is very likely). I just want Troels to know that he will always be the only Copenhagen mayoral candidate in my heart.

Check out the film the "flame and Citron" he's in that and "Borgen" for Soren Malling (Torben Friis) Smile

LaVolcan · 22/03/2012 15:01

He only has a small part in Flame and Citron though - it's his brother who is one of the two main leads in that.

But that aside - Flame and Citron is well worth watching.

minouminou · 22/03/2012 15:07

He's rubbish in Those Who Kill. He's phoning it in.

I miss his cheekbones and air of quiet tragedy, too.

mousymouseafraidofdogs · 22/03/2012 15:16

agree he is brilliant in K1

on another note, in K2 there are nekkid fit men and a few delicious male characters... the story line is great, too.

At first I thought he looked awful, but by the end of The Killing he was damn sexy in a weird way. And I don't ever like bald men!

TheFarSide · 22/03/2012 17:21

Is he bald?

Francagoestohollywood · 22/03/2012 17:35

I loved randomly shout about the house ?troels! Troels!?... however, no, I didn?t cind him remotely attractive. However, I had a crush on Meyer, especially when he started to get smarter at around ep 6

tigercametotea · 22/03/2012 17:37

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know about Those Who Kill on ITV3.

squoosh · 22/03/2012 17:39

Ooh yeah I love shouting his name too trying to pronounce it in my best Danish accent. 'Trullss, trullss, tak'.

I liked Meyer a lot but did not fancy him, he started out all grouchy and progressed to less grouchy. He was great.

Off I pop to Copenhagen to shout 'Trullss' in the streets. Someone's bound to come running.

Francagoestohollywood · 22/03/2012 18:53

You are bound to find someone shouting back "Rie, Rie" (which I also loved to shout... basically me and dh convinced ourselves that we were actually learning Danish)

TooMuchSnot · 22/03/2012 19:04

Just get your Borgen on ;)

MissBetsyTrotwood · 22/03/2012 20:06

DS2 actually started calling 'Theis, THEIS' to get our attention at one point copying me and DH. Blush

Having finished K1 there is a big gap in our lives. Must start K2 when DH has some time off. I thoroughly enjoyed the tiny crackle in the relationship between Troels and Sarah. When did they ever sleep though?

MadAsASnakeNana · 22/03/2012 20:18

Oh yes - really miss him.

FayKnights · 22/03/2012 20:22

Ahhhh Troels, . I feel like randomly shouting TAK, THEIS and MEYER.

MissBetsyTrotwood · 22/03/2012 20:23

TAK!

THEIS!

MEYER!

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 22/03/2012 20:28

Is those that kill on tonight?!!
Tak!!

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 22/03/2012 20:29

How did I miss this-I've just seen it is 5/6 tonight :( I missed any chat at all about it, is it any good?

Francagoestohollywood · 22/03/2012 20:33

LUNDT, LUNDT!!! I loved how Meyer said Lundt.
I am off, on de kanels.

MothershipG · 23/03/2012 11:49

squoosh darling you really are all muddled, The Wire was fab, The Killing was too long and, at times, completely implausible. However I will give you the fact that the cinematography, acting and character development were exceptional and what made me persevere to the end.

Can I just add that the U.S. version, although close in many ways to the original, has completely miscast the Troells character in a way that is just wrong. [shudder]
