I know I will probably be flamed for this and I don't mean to be inflammatory but why when you state an opinion does everyone jump down your throat? Sorry for lack of paragraphs I am on my phone

faeriefruitcake · 18/03/2012 22:59

No not really, depends on the post, the opinion and time of the month

SecretNutellaFix · 18/03/2012 22:59

Surely it depends about whether people agree or disagree with your opinion? If they disagree they are going to let you know.

If you are being catastrophically dense, they will let you know as well.

It's not jumping down your throat. It's called stating their own opinion.

TheFallenMadonna · 18/03/2012 22:59

Not everyone. Only the people who disagree with you. But there are a lot of people on here...

AnyFucker · 18/03/2012 23:02

If you ask for opinions, there is very often two camps

why is this a problem for you to understand ?

WorraLiberty · 18/03/2012 23:04

It depends on the opinion you're stating surely?

And in my mind a 'pack' is a group of posters who all post together...perhaps all descending on a thread at once to have a go at the OP.

A lot of posters with a similar view...posting those views isn't really a 'pack' IYSWIM.

Moominsarescary · 18/03/2012 23:04

It depends, Do you expect everyone to agree with you? That's not going to happen, well very rarely.

FilterCoffee · 18/03/2012 23:06

Can you be more specific OP?

Urbandecayed81 · 18/03/2012 23:12

No I do not expect everyone to agree and I don't expect to agree with everyone

OP posts:
Fecklessdizzy · 18/03/2012 23:12

Perhaps if you didn't post in AIBU? The clue's in the name, after all ...

To be honest, if everyone tells you to get a grip then they're probably right, and I'm saying this as someone who was unanimously flamed on their last outing ... Grin

ABatInBunkFive · 18/03/2012 23:17

To be fair the comment you posted was quite uncalled of, no wonder people 'jumped down your throat' Hmm

ErikNorseman · 18/03/2012 23:17

It depends on whether your opinion is fucking stupid or not. If you state a fucking stupid opinion then most people will be in agreement that it is fucking stupid, innit.

ABatInBunkFive · 18/03/2012 23:18

uncalled for*
