mundane problem of the day

I forgot to shave my legs this morning. I'm taking my baby swimming later so I will now be the mum with stubbly legs. I don't care enough and can't be bothered to go and do it now.

Don't think it will worry anyone in the pool unless they rub up against my legs!

Whats your mundane problem of the day?

I've done that before :)

My mundane problem of the day is that I need a pint of milk to make the quiche I'd planned to cook in my lunch hour, but if I go out and buy the milk I won't then have enough time to make the quiche Confused

YonWhaleFish · 09/03/2012 11:19

Mine is that I think I am getting a cold.

And a spelling mistake made consistently at work is pissing me off out of all proportion.

ripsishere · 09/03/2012 12:11

That I think I'm losing my mind. I could have sworn I bought country slices in Sainsbury but actually ended up with bakewell slices Sad.

ohdearwhatdoidonow · 09/03/2012 12:45

That the WW soup I have for dinner (Tomato & Basil) which I picked up by mistake thinking it was plain tomato, is bloody horrible, and I'm probably about to pig out on chocolate.

JaneMare · 09/03/2012 12:47

Mine is that I need to parcel up some stuff to return in the post and I just can't be arsed.

That and I realised I don't own a purple eyeliner so can't complete the look I was trying from a YouTube tutorial.

fortifiedwithtea · 09/03/2012 12:50

DD1 other school shirt has gone missing. looked in all the obvious places. Must be under the bed.

scarletforya · 09/03/2012 13:56

DaveGrohlsgirl · 09/03/2012 13:59

My mundane problem of the day is that my bread dough is not rising

Hassled · 09/03/2012 14:25

My mundane problem is that when the four hours is up and I can rinse all the oven cleaner out (the racks are in one of those giant plastic bag things) I need to be somewhere else. Which means doing it much later or leaving it to tomorrow and I want to see my sparkly oven revealed.

DaveGrohl - oil some clingfilm and put over the bowl? It sometimes helps - and is the dough on a sunny window somewhere?

fullofregrets · 09/03/2012 14:31

Mine is that I can't find one of my library books and they are due back tomorrow.
I know it is here somewhere. We read it a couple of days ago. I suspect DS of squirrelling it away somewhere.

Rhubarbgarden · 09/03/2012 14:41

I can't decide whether to lug out the sprinkler from the garage to water in my newly planted 'woodland garden', or cross my fingers that it rains in the next few days [lazy]/[afraid of the spiders that may be lurking in the coiled up hose which hasn't been touched all winter].

Boomerwang · 09/03/2012 14:44

My mundane problem is being unable to find a home video I was going to share with you all. Must be on the bf's phone rather than my camera.

fullofregrets · 09/03/2012 14:44

Is it wrong that reading about other people's mundane problems cheers me up?
I have hundreds of mundane problems pretty much every day.

PoultryInMotion · 09/03/2012 14:45

< perks up at the mention of crumpet batter >

My mundane problem is that I'm not in labour yet. Although at 38 weeks I may have this as my mundane problem for several days to come Grin

Pascha · 09/03/2012 14:46

Mine is my son should be awake and snacking by now and he's still blissfully asleep. This will have a knock-on effect of not having enough time to go to the park on the way to the post office and the surgery.

JKSLtd · 09/03/2012 14:48

Mine are (have 2):

  • invited veggie friend of DS1's round for tea with promise of cheese pizza only to find I haven't got any, will plain pasta with veggie bits do?
  • have made a victoria sandwich using new cake tine but they haven't really risen, do i put jam & sugar on anyway and just have a short cake?
(& icing or caster sugar on top?)
RuleBritannia · 09/03/2012 14:49

My mundane problem is that I need a bath but can't leave my computer!

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 09/03/2012 14:52

My mundane problem of the day is I am not sure whether to go to Sainsburys or Waitrose for some wine for tonight. Maybe I should go to Morrisons. AIBU?

diamondsonthesolesofhershoes · 09/03/2012 14:53

Mine is that my washing machine has locked the clothes in... again.
Fine you stupid bloody thing.. you can deal with pairing the socks!

Convert · 09/03/2012 14:53

Mine is that my old microwave is by the back door and I need to convince DH to carry it down to the bin yard and hide it under some rubbish.

Convert · 09/03/2012 14:54

Actually are you allowed to just chuck microwaves away in the rubbish or am I going to get fined?

diamondsonthesolesofhershoes · 09/03/2012 14:55

Oh, also I'm addicted to watching Crufts when I need to do some work! I couldn't possibly miss Medium Team Agility for my dissertations.
I don't even have a dog Blush

Shushshessleeping · 09/03/2012 14:58

My DS' nappies keep leaking all up his back, so I've ran out of vests and I can't be arsed to wash any.

ByTheWay1 · 09/03/2012 15:00

JKSLtd - I can fix that one - go get a pot of Betty crocker frosting - no one will give a monkey's what the cake looks like - yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
