Sorry but no! DH away and DC too young to do stuff by themselves! Could treat us to cinema I suppose:)

Groovee · 06/03/2012 19:41

Yes, we're going out for lunch and then to dd's dance show. It doesn't finish until later or we'd have gone out for dinner instead.

shaketastic · 06/03/2012 19:45

No my mothers day will prob be spent alone as my dd has said that she is glad she will be working on that day and my ds could't give a shit about anyone else but himself and his friends so I will spend Mothers day on my own althought will speak to my mum and send her some flowers.

Hulababy · 06/03/2012 19:46

We will go out for lunch, maybe with my parents and PILs. Sadly I will wake up on Mother's Day and DD won't be there - first time. DH and me are at the school ball on the Saturday and DD is staying at my parents house, just under an hour away - so will head over there as soon as we are up.

Mama1980 · 06/03/2012 19:48

I will be going with my mum and son to Hampton court - we have done the same thing for the past 5 years Smile always a lovely day

AThingInYourLife · 06/03/2012 19:51

We will be driving home from my parents' house.

Going to a carluccios. Am desperate for some decent calamari.

shesparkles · 06/03/2012 20:02

I'm working nightshift on the Saturday so will take a wee drive through the cemetery to say hello to my mum and gran then home to bed

JellyBelly10 · 06/03/2012 20:02

I'll be at work! Great!! DH and sons will be at a Beavers sleepover so won't ahve seen them since the morning before and won't see them until the late afternoon when I get back from work. So I doubt Mother's Day will even feature in our house!!

Avenged · 06/03/2012 20:03

Yes. I'm letting DH lie in, getting him a bunch of flowers and some naice lippy. Of course I will do everything, coz I'm the man of the house Wink. . Nah, I'll just be getting up at my usual time, but only because I really cannot be arsed to have a lie in and do nothing. That does my head in because I feel like I'm wasting a day when there's a load of other things I could be doing and I don't have anything to be lying in bed over anyway (no operation or injury to recover from).

What you up to McHappy?

skateboarder · 06/03/2012 20:04

Yabu

RuleBritannia · 06/03/2012 20:05

Are you talking about Mothering Sunday?

Avenged · 06/03/2012 20:08

Why don't you, your mum go out for a coffee or something? Doesn't have to be a big thing, just a coffee and maybe some flowers and chocs.

McHappyPants2012 · 06/03/2012 20:09

i fancy spoiling my kids, maybe a daytrip somewhere.

DH is working so it will be me and my DC

OP posts:
Rhubarbgarden · 06/03/2012 20:24

Nothing. My Mum's dead, dd is only 20 months and it won't occur to dh to do anything, that's if he even realises it's Mother's Day. I might buy myself some daffodils or a piece of jewellery since my watch broke last week and dd has just snapped my necklace

Mrsjay · 06/03/2012 20:40

March is so busy for us for meals out husbands birthday mums 60th and our wedding anniversary, no plans for mothers day will go see my mum if she isnt working . and then have a takeaway or HE can cook , I dont cook on mothers day EVERY Grin

Avenged · 06/03/2012 21:41

What about you and the DC have a trip to A local Open Farm to see some animals or maybe a jaunt to a local soft play centre with lunch?

A trip to an amusement park (which has different rides like a rollercoaster and smaller rides for younger kids) or the nearest sealife centre to look at the fish etc?

A trip to a park to play on the swings/slides etc or take a football to the nearest field and have a kick around.

That's all I can think of ATM, but I hope I have given you some ideas to pick at for the meantime. I hope it helps Smile.

BareBums · 06/03/2012 21:44

No plans, although I suspect DD might make me a card if she's aware on the day..

Oh and YABU Wink

rhondajean · 06/03/2012 21:44

Scottish league cup final here. Cannot wait!

troisgarcons · 06/03/2012 21:47

No. But I really CBA with that sort of Americanised crap.

DressDownFriday · 06/03/2012 21:49

Working all day 7am to 7pm Sad

Thefoxsbrush · 06/03/2012 21:49

Going out for Sunday lunch with DH, 3DC's, mum, step-dad, grandad and step grandma. We're going to a Quayside restaurant and then for a nice walk (weather permitting)

DoMeDon · 06/03/2012 21:50

Lunch out with my Dad and DD. I have treated myself to a new necklace for being a wonderful mother Wink DH is coming back early off his stag do to spend day with me I would rather he didn't as it would be nicer without hangover man

TheFeministsWife · 06/03/2012 22:05

Yes I plan on staying in bed until at least 11am. Then having breakfast in bed, then a nice bubble bath. Then I'm going to sit on my arse all day MNing whilst DH makes a roast and the kids bring me endless cups of tea and cake. Grin
