My dd survived the coach crash on the news today. A wonderful teacher was killed, some of the children are badly injured. Aibu to just say, let's all just stop, think, put petty squabbles aside and hug our loved ones.

This is fairly local to me and a number of my friends were taught (a number of years ago now) by the teacher who has sadly died.
It is awful and tragic. I am glad your DD is ok. It must have been terrifying. X x

Thinking of you all that are involved in this incident x

Earthymama · 19/02/2012 19:00

Oh my heart goes out to you and your family, a brush with death puts everything in perspective.
I hope the school community comes through this strong and united.
Blessings to everyone who has been involved.
(Since a bad bout of depression I have tried to find something to be grateful about every night before I go to sleep. I have just realised that as I am caught up in a horrid situation outside my control I have stopped doing this; I will begin again tonight)

Chirpychick2010 · 19/02/2012 19:02

Feel for them all and especially the children involved as they have been through an ordeal and have to come to terms with death of teacher bless them x

Petrean · 19/02/2012 19:03

It's awful... Terrifying for all the parents and families involved. I'm very glad your daughter is okay.

Gumby · 19/02/2012 19:04
Sad do you know when she'll becoming home? Bet you're desperate to see her
ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 19/02/2012 19:05

Huge sigh of relief x

I was watching that on the news, wondering if any of the Mums were MNers, isn't that odd.

It is really really sad about the teacher, it sounds as though he was a lovely, lovely man who will be missed. His family are really going through it all with his wife still in critical care too :(

thebody · 19/02/2012 19:06

Thanks all, she should b back tonight, tbh all over the place and needed to do something.

Peter was simply the best teacher ever, funny kind and used to do p.e with kids while eating a hobnob.

Just so awful.

Hope DD is not too traumatised. so sad for all concerned.

My son got back from his school trip last night - as a parent you just assume they will be ok - my biggest fear had been that he would lose his passport

boschy · 21/02/2012 12:55

just found this - I do hope your DD is doing ok. my 2 came back from that exact same trip with the same company just 2 weeks ago, so I feel so much for you all.

BBisBBack · 21/02/2012 13:06
