Sparklingbrook · 16/02/2012 11:12

Lurpak is the best.

Slartybartfast · 16/02/2012 11:14

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 16/02/2012 11:15

Please not any of the 'butter' from Lidl smiling. Sad

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 16/02/2012 11:17

Lurpak is the only thing I am brand loyal too. I'd never even tried it til a few years ago when a friend served me this manna of the gods on tiger bread. Have been mainlining it ever since.

Pudden · 16/02/2012 11:18

actually have just tried the Lidl 'Danpak' spreadable butter and it's v. good. Has more butter content than the Lurpak spready equivilant and is almost half the price

emsyj · 16/02/2012 11:18

I like Lurpak but find that Aldi Butterpak is adequate as a substitute (not as nice, granted) and the Morrisson's Danish style spreadable is okay too.

They're not quite the same, but they're ok.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 16/02/2012 11:20

Sorry I didn't actually get to finish my post as my phone started doing strange things and froze so I wasn't trying to be contrary Confused

Here's what I was going to write....

Yabu because lurpak is disgusting and Flora buttery is far superior Grin

Kayano · 16/02/2012 11:27

My husband made me switch to bertolli once because it was 'easier to spread'

Wtf. I didn't eat toast or sandwiches
Or crumpets for a year!!! Stupid man

GrittersWifeAndProud · 16/02/2012 11:28

Oooooh I looooooooooooove Lurpak. The Lurpak Lighter with Olive Oil is just lush! Has anyone tried that one? I have crusty bread smothered with it and I'm drooling now just thinking of it. But I haven't got any crusty bread :9

GrittersWifeAndProud · 16/02/2012 11:29

I meant :( obviously.

ragingmull · 16/02/2012 11:30

yanbu

ViviPru · 16/02/2012 11:31

YABU. Butter = Only Yeo Valley will do.

I like the new Lurpack Lightest spreadable though for every day. So in that respect -YANBU

Kayano · 16/02/2012 11:31

Yes
Gritters - that's the one I saw on offer and finally
Convinced DH to go back to lurpack!

The heathen

squeakytoy · 16/02/2012 11:32

Kerrygold spreadable is the best. Olive oil in it too, so slightly better for you as well. :)

GwendolineMaryLacey · 16/02/2012 11:34

I have two tubs of the new lightest one in the fridge and it's vile. We've run out of nice Lurpak

ChickensHaveNoLips · 16/02/2012 11:34

YABU. Doesn't Lurpak ahve that hideous advert with the serial killer overtones?

brighthair · 16/02/2012 11:35

I love lurpak. Use the full fat one though as the olive oil one has trans fats in it

ExitPursuedByaBear · 16/02/2012 11:38

I bake with President.

ABigGirlDoneItAndRanAway · 16/02/2012 11:40

Damn you Kayano now I really want a salt and vinegar sandwich but only have plain crisps and just came back from the shop. Enjoy yours though Envy.

TheParan0idAndr0id · 16/02/2012 11:41

The only butter is Kerrygold. No question.

StealthPolarBear · 16/02/2012 11:42
