AIBU to think they are not acceptable in any shape or form? I don't care how comfy and cosy they are, they are wrong on so many levels.

It was non-uniform day in school on Friday. A fair amount of girls were wearing them as clothes. Not for a dare, not for a bet, not for charity, but because they think they look good.

WTF?!

LadySybilDeChocolate · 12/02/2012 21:55

Agreed. They just look stupid!

troisgarcons · 12/02/2012 21:56

We - and I mean all of us - want one Grin

tho' with my pechant for midnight trips to the loo - would prove somewhat annoying

Sirzy · 12/02/2012 21:56

YANBU I dont see the appeal for adults to wear babygros!

aldiwhore · 12/02/2012 21:59

I love the idea of them, but I couldn't wear one if there was any risk at all of ever being seen by anyone, including the cat.

Plus I like my feet to be freeeeee.

ReallyTired · 12/02/2012 21:59

I think there are bigger problems in the world than wearing an oversized babygro.

Maybe they do look stupid, but these girls have the right to look stupid.

I worry more about women who fear for their lives if they don't wear a berka or kids whose parents can't afford to buy them a decent coat.

Fashions change. Prehaps in 2100 people will all be wearing babygros and a pair of jeans will be considered as outdated as the courset.

squeakytoy · 12/02/2012 22:00

Fab for in the house, on cold winter days or nights... absolutely ridiculous to leave the house wearing one!

heronsfly · 12/02/2012 22:00

My dds 12 and 15 have them and love them, although they find them too hot to sleep in they do lounge around in them.
I have noticed some girls wearing them to dancing though, and mine wont be doing that, they are for wearing just at home Grin

Selks · 12/02/2012 22:00

They're great........for use at home.

vitaminC · 12/02/2012 22:01

I haven't seen these! Are they like the jumpsuits we wore in the 80s? Or do you mean all-in-one pyjamas?

I had one of those (pj things) when I was a teenager, and loved it, but I couldn't imagine wearing one now! Hmm

troisgarcons · 12/02/2012 22:01

Se what you've done - i just googles the to compare prices.

I have a 15yo saying "I want the one with ducks on"
a 16yo saying "can I have a tiger one?"
A Hubs saying "do they make them in my size"

IneedAbetterNicknameIn2012 · 12/02/2012 22:02

It is a must if camping in November Grin
Cheaper than the heating in my crappy house, and therefore fab when the kids are in bed.
I wouldn't sleep in it at home though, it gets all twisted when I'm in bed!

WorraLiberty · 12/02/2012 22:02

They look absolutely fucking ridiculous

I love mine and never want to be without it Grin

I managed to get a posh one ordered from America and it's made of that sort of soft almost fur like material that 'Me to You' bears are made of Blush

Snowboarder · 12/02/2012 22:03

I am not a fan of the cheapo fleecy/ nylon looking ones, although I must admit a secret hankering for one of these Blush although I am pregnant at the mo so I suspect that I would look like Mr blobby gone wrong if I was actually to wear it.

vitaminC · 12/02/2012 22:04

OK, just googled them Shock

All the people on that site look like teletubbies :o

WorraLiberty · 12/02/2012 22:04

Link for Trois and family

Grin
heronsfly · 12/02/2012 22:05

Ooooooh, thats a really good idea about camping, we often go as a group and they would be ideal for night time drinks ect.

WorraLiberty · 12/02/2012 22:06

The only problem is they make you feel so warm and toasty

Then if you need a wee you have to peel the top half off and sit there shivering

I stood up from the loo last week...went to put my arms back in the sleeves and realised one has gone down the toilet and I'd peed on it Hmm Sad

aquashiv · 12/02/2012 22:07

I have one bought as a bit of a piss take actually for when we got camping.

I do feel like George Doors in mine and its a bugger when you need a pee in the night as the whole lot needs to come down.
Why in Gods name would people wear them in broad day light though?

troisgarcons · 12/02/2012 22:07

worra they are fantastic...especially the ones with the arse flaps !

aquashiv · 12/02/2012 22:08

Ok arse flaps am liking the sound of that...
Do we have fanny flaps too?

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 12/02/2012 22:08

Looked on ebay.... oh dear, several adult actual baby clothes. Hmm.

WorraLiberty · 12/02/2012 22:08

I didn't notice the arse flaps! Shock

IneedAbetterNicknameIn2012 · 12/02/2012 22:10

Tip for wearing them camping: wear a top underneath or you will freeze yor tits of when you go for a piss!

cheesesarnie · 12/02/2012 22:11

just no

nenevomito · 12/02/2012 22:11

I'm fine with them. Don't have one myself as I suspect it would give me sweaty feet, but the children have them - but not out of doors!

Then again pyjamas out of doors seem to be the thing at the moment. A 5 min drive across town the other day and we saw folk in their jim jams everywhere freaks.
