AIBU to think they are not acceptable in any shape or form? I don't care how comfy and cosy they are, they are wrong on so many levels.

It was non-uniform day in school on Friday. A fair amount of girls were wearing them as clothes. Not for a dare, not for a bet, not for charity, but because they think they look good.

WTF?!

Am thinking of the benifit of no loss of warmth here no inuendo as if, when you are dressed like a tellytubby Jeeze.Smile.
Massive design fault you see thats why they never caught on for the over 18 months perhaps?

chipmunksex · 12/02/2012 22:21

dd is obsessed with hers Hmm but not for me I would look like a pig in a wig!

GoingForGoalWeight · 12/02/2012 23:08

I've spotted the onesies in Primark..i'm very tempted to buy a few! I live alone.

hocuspontas · 12/02/2012 23:15

My teenage dds live in theirs. Dd2 has 4 animal ones, one with a hood. Just the thing to slouch around in after school. I like them. I was wearing brushed nylon ones in the eighties when I was 25ish and I lived in mine as well!

MustControlFistOfDeath · 12/02/2012 23:26

Oh! I was given one as a present 14 months ago when I had DS. I thought it was a bit weird at the time, like matching babygros Hmm Shock

I had forgotten all about it - I have now retrieved it, and have tried it on (expecting to hate it)...it's actually quite nice Smile. DP is not here, and will never ever see me in it - I am hoping to have another DC, tbf that's unlikely if he ever claps eyes on this little ensemble.

NoMoreMarbles · 12/02/2012 23:34

my mum bought me one after christmas and it is seriously the comfiest, warmest pyjamas i have ever ownedGrin dont knock them until you have tried it for yourselfWink i want one with a bum-flap now after the link thoughGrin

manticlimactic · 12/02/2012 23:37

I got one from Dunnes. Ok, the crotch is down by my knees but it's great when I'm in skinflint mode. Turn the heating off and put it on, sometimes over my clothes Grin

alessthandomesticgoddess · 12/02/2012 23:38

I have two. One Elvis inspired and one monkey.

YANBU however. They are hideous and unflattering but at home where nobody sees me and I can recreate the dance from The Lazy Song video for my DD's? Acceptable and YABU Wink

AshleyP · 06/08/2013 05:36

Some of them are ok but most are a bit weird! I wouldn't be seen dead in anything with a cow print! This one is quite cute. Looks more like a tracksuit: www.monstore.co.nz/products/luscious-liquorice-onesie

I love wearing mine on a cold wintery day. Getting in from work & changing into it is what i look forward to on those days.

They are in the PJ section of a shop so why would you wear them as outside clothes.
