And hide the Facebook friends who rattle on incessantly about it every frigging Wednesday night?

YANBU.

GreatBallsOfFluff · 08/02/2012 21:57

YAdefinitelyNBU

Lilaclion · 08/02/2012 22:02

No! I've only just learnt what TOWIE stood for and now there's another acronym to deal with!

Lilaclion · 08/02/2012 22:06

...figured it out...I'll quietly sit back down in the stupid chair.

OnlyANinja · 08/02/2012 22:07

YANBU to dislike a TV show - everyone has different taste.

No idea why you would want to watch women give birth - it's the sort of thing that you are forced to watch in school, not the sort of thing that people generally choose to watch.

Kennyp · 08/02/2012 22:12

I watched the first series but cannot be arsed any more. Birth stories are like travelling stories to me. Something i avoid at all costs!

Saucer of milk for kennyp!

I can't stand the programme, and that makes me 'mean'... sod the sisterhood of shared experiences.

Just don't flick between Masterchef and OBEM, strange combination.

Kennyp · 08/02/2012 22:18

I know a woman who smells absolutely fishy. If you stand downwind of her you'd have to move, or faint. Shes due in sbout three weeks. Good luck to that midwife. Honestly, this woman absolutely honks.

I couldnt do it nor would i ever want to. And with music and cooking o levels only i dont think i am in a position to apply.

tigana · 08/02/2012 22:18

yanbu. It is Jeremy Kyle with obstetrics.

pickledparsnip · 08/02/2012 22:22

YANBU. Never seen it, and have absolutely no desire to see it.

FunnysInTheGarden · 08/02/2012 22:26

FunnysInTheGarden · 08/02/2012 22:27

girliefriend · 08/02/2012 22:27

FunnysInTheGarden · 08/02/2012 22:27

THe Only Way Is Essex as I recently found out having asked the same question Mc

startwig1982 · 08/02/2012 22:28

It's very moving though. The episode with the woman with special needs had me in tears. This is the only series I've watched, if that makes it better.

i bet with this and call the midwife there'll be a massive upsurge in applications for midwifery places. they should show an hour's worth of writing up notes or emptying catheter bags or doing a conveyor-belt antenatal clinic or getting lost/parking tickets trying to do community visits so people have a more realistic idea of what the job involves!
