And hide the Facebook friends who rattle on incessantly about it every frigging Wednesday night?

When I did my nurse training I was at two births neither of which were magical and now I scrub for sections and it still goes over my head. I couldn't be a midwife for love nor money, I can't fathom how anyone could, you have to be a special sort of person. Op, yanbu.

....i realise this would make rubbish telly though Grin

A documentary about how humans lay a log would be beneficial too I feel- with added advice and analysis of said log from our favourite poo lady Gillian McKeith

I'll happily sit and listen to friends' concerns, I'll read threads on childbirth on here, I don't wish to watch it on telly.

Horses for courses and all that but I don't get it.

YANBU

Fair enough we all have different tastes and interests

But my fucking news feed on FB every Wednesday is full of statuses saying "I'm blubbing my eyes out watching OBEM"

Then someone else will post and say something like "I've spent all week crying after last week's episode"

Only to be 'outdone' by someone who says they cried more than the other two put together.

Don't fucking watch it then if it makes you so upset! Angry
