I hate this government

I hate the way they make so make public sector workers redundant and then infer everyone is a scrounger when there are no jobs, penalise the disabled, destroy education, librarys etc. But do nothing about the bankers, the tax evaders, destroy the morale of teachers (who have a bloody hard job for very little pay). What would I do if I lose my job? I am a single parent (yes the devil incarnate) and work for a local authority, coming up to my 2nd review in 2 years. If I do, then I'd be a benefit scrounger.

I hate the way they penalise the poor, the disabled and do nothing about the bankers and the rich who avoid tax. I'm sick of hearing about scroungers when there are NO FUCKING JOBS.

I voted bloody liberal because I believed Nick Cleggs's bullshit about education. What a joke!

Ideology as economics. I hate them too.

wantanewname · 07/02/2012 23:34

everyday I hear about another cut. Latest is legal aid single parents trying to get maintenance. Just kicking the people who most need help and I think trying to turn the country against teachers and pushing forward private education.

JustRedbin · 07/02/2012 23:36

I sort of take your point, but teachers very little pay? The mean gross salary round here is £37,000, which is around double the average wage of most other local workers.

wantanewname · 07/02/2012 23:38

the starting salary is about 21,000 I think. Not saying that is that low but they are being made to feel like crap by the government now.

I too voted Liberal. I will continue to vote them as I know as soon as the next general election comes he will be out. I volunteer for an LA dept that had a 50% cut in the last financial year. Nick Clegg is a tosser. My dad is a local councillor with LIbDems and has said that most of the party are against him. He is just power hungry. And don't even get me started on slimey Dave. SO much for being an understanding father of a disabled child Angry

YANBU

Fucking wankers.
It makes me want to go out and riot wave a banner.

wantanewname · 07/02/2012 23:41

I'm all for making work pay, but what if there are no jobs???? nobody seems to be able to answer that one.

We live in a democracy somebody voted for them. YABU just to hate this govt. as being old i have seen lots of them come and go and no one made me happy. still don't feel i can whinge about it if i am not willing to become an MP myself and try and change things. I think the public sector is going through what started in the private sector 2+ years ago. doesnt make it any easier but my business/job (am self employed) has been crap since 2009/10 so i blame the last govt for that. Not sure i agree that teachers work for little pay yes it is in comparison to bankers (teeny minority of salaried workers) but not in comparison to the national average. There are still private sector jobs but hopefully you will never find out that they pay less and the conditions are worse. The vast majority of us in private sector dont earn mega salaries either and we have no pension and no job security. all this govt really is doing is highlighting the differences between the two sectors and causing private and public to argue with each other and not against the system. hope your review goes ok.

JustRedbin · 07/02/2012 23:44

wantanewname - the last set of league table for schools publishes the mean gross salary for teachers in each school. Starting salary for a kid out of university should reflect their inexperience. Apart from that I hate the Tories and always have.

wantanewname · 07/02/2012 23:44

mumsnet seems to have some power, in that journalists and politicans actually read it. If I wasn't so annoyed, I'd write a proper thread and try to get it read.

YANBU
Bunch of agonisingly patronising upper class posh accented dim-witted lying pompous clueless assholes.
I hate the look on slimy smug shiny Cameron's face which translates to 'I am conning you, I know it, you know it, and there's nothing you can do about it'
And don't even get me started in hague..

wantanewname · 07/02/2012 23:48

I see the teachers in my son's school working really hard and undermined at every possible opportunity. mummymeister I have worked in private sector and certainly didn't get paid less or worse conditions. I got paid quite a bit more. But not trying to change jobs at the moment though.

OP posts:
ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 07/02/2012 23:48

They are a bit thick I agree.

Ifancyashandy · 07/02/2012 23:50

They ain't daft though - they know exactly what language and rhetoric to use to turn people against one another.

Come the Revolution....

MrsDeeBee · 07/02/2012 23:51

But there are jobs, thousands of new jobs are advertised every day.

It's just that all the workshy scroungers are so picky about what job they want to do.

I am being sarcastic.

wantanewname · 07/02/2012 23:54

MrsDeeBee - so if you worked for years in one job, worked your way up to a decent wage, then got made redundant do you think you'd be happy to do any old shit job that gets thrown your way or be called a scrounger? There aren't thousands of jobs - the statistics show that there thousands - possibly millions less jobs than people out of work.

I know ! Read the bold.

gaelicsheep · 07/02/2012 23:59

The most worrying thing is that people swallow their crap. Supposedly intelligent people swallow their crap.

wantanewname · 07/02/2012 23:59

sorry, I didn't read the bold!
