I hate this government

I hate the way they make so make public sector workers redundant and then infer everyone is a scrounger when there are no jobs, penalise the disabled, destroy education, librarys etc. But do nothing about the bankers, the tax evaders, destroy the morale of teachers (who have a bloody hard job for very little pay). What would I do if I lose my job? I am a single parent (yes the devil incarnate) and work for a local authority, coming up to my 2nd review in 2 years. If I do, then I'd be a benefit scrounger.

I hate the way they penalise the poor, the disabled and do nothing about the bankers and the rich who avoid tax. I'm sick of hearing about scroungers when there are NO FUCKING JOBS.

I just don't get how you can cut all the jobs and demonise people on benefits at the same time! Maybe one but not the other at the same time. Surely, any intelligent person who is working at the moment must be thinking, 'there by the grace of God go I' or whatever the expression is!

Have you not read any of the benefit threads on here ?!

No, if people have jobs it is because they are the chosen ones, and very special, and are just so high up the food chain that a job loss or other personal difficulty will never, ever befall them.

How could you ever infer that it is only by the grace of something/someone that they do not fall from their ever-so-high pedestal, and ever find themselves in need of some help ? Wink

HoneyandHaycorns · 08/02/2012 00:15

YANBU. I hate them too.

I'm sure they see the irrationality of cutting jobs at the same time as banging on about the need to make work pay. But they don't care because it's all part of their grand ideological plan to shrink the size of the state. Why let a few pesky poor people get in the way of such a noble endeavour?

wantanewname · 08/02/2012 00:21

let's hope it's not them then because it could be any of us and then they'd be up shit creek.

With or without a paddle ?!

HoneyandHaycorns · 08/02/2012 00:24

I certainly hope that they will all be out of their jobs soon. But I can't see Cameron or his cronies ending up on benefits. Wink

Clearly enough people hated the last government, & probably enough'll hate this one next time round. None of them have much of an idea if real life, & if they ever did they soon forget it when they can hop on the next gravy-train.

YANBU. This government makes me so fucking angry I could cry. I cannot believe the cuts being made, nasty evil shits.

So do I. YADNBU!

I'm just too ground down to froth atm. But I'll be back ... as long as I can survive, which is looking increasingly unlikely from the avalanche of bad news I'm getting from the DWP and the council :(

Please do join in. No such thing as too many #frothers!

YANBU. I am so glad I don't live there any more but my family do and it makes me really upset to see what's going on. Angrier and angrier that Clegg threw his lot in with Scameron - fucking arsehole. Not saying it would have been a whole lot better with Labour cos they weren't exactly brilliant, but this shower of shit have really done a number on the population as a whole.
