Yes. 'to fall' in this case simply means to go from one state (not pregnant) to another (pregnant), like in falling asleep, falling ill, falling in love, etc.

I beg to differ Eglu. I'm fairly certain I caught pregnancy from a fortune cookie , I was definitely not pg until after the Chinese meal when the fortune cookie inferred I was.
