I've been following it for a while and have to confess to a little cry when I read the last post this morning.

Just gave my little DD an extra big hug Sad.

YANBU.
Sad that poor family.
RIP Tripp

FiveHoursSleep · 16/01/2012 13:31

OMG, How sad is that? :(
Thank you for sharing it though. It's def one of those things you need to sit down and read when your kids are driving you nuts, just because they are being normal, healthy kids.

mumatron · 16/01/2012 13:33

:(

poor Tripp.

RIP

AKMD · 16/01/2012 13:34

That is sad. Do you know the family?

squeakytoy · 16/01/2012 13:35

I think a warning to others that the photos immediately on that link are a bit distressing to see may be advisable here. :( Poor little boy. RIP.

Greythorne · 16/01/2012 13:37

Oh my god.
So sad.
What suffering.

RIP little Trip.

Those photos are heartbreaking.

blondie80 · 16/01/2012 13:40

so sad..Sad

PuraVida · 16/01/2012 13:46

My DS is the exact same age Sad

Having a little cry, his poor poor family, and him Sad

Janoschi · 16/01/2012 13:48

So sorry, didn't think to warn about the photos. No I didn't know them, just read bout them a while ago in a newspaper and ended up following the blog. I'm not religious at all (verging on the vocally anti, in fact!) but in this case I'm so glad she has something to draw strength from.

Just keep thinking about the poor boy and his life. Sad

RIP little drummer boy Sad

His family look like they are close and did an amazing job. Despite everything he went through it seems like he was truely happy and loved so much SadSadSad

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 16/01/2012 13:49

Thanks for sharing. That little lad went through so much... I want to go and wake the baby up to give her a hug.

WinterIsComing · 16/01/2012 13:54

I am sobbing. Have read about this condition before wrt James Lynch, another beautiful boy taken too soon.

There must be something we can do to help in some small way.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 16/01/2012 13:56

Your link should contain a warning.

prettyfly1 · 16/01/2012 14:05

Goodness me I never get emotional on these things but that made tears roll down my face - just the sheer raw grief. I hope his family find peace. Makes you appreciate the small things all of a sudden.

BTW the pics of his suffering are very raw but not offensive if anyone is worried. Its just highlighting the condition in a very visceral way.

WinterIsComing · 16/01/2012 14:09

James' Mum posted here for a while I'm sure, and something was done. I was part of it but it was a while ago now and soon after my own DS was born so memory not that reliable. All I can remember clearly is his name and his perfectly beautiful little face which is why I found the link.

MrsHankey · 16/01/2012 14:11

How sad, poor little chap Sad

WinterIsComing · 16/01/2012 14:11

Information and donation

WinterIsComing · 16/01/2012 14:19

It doesn't take long at all to donate, does it?

If you can't, do you think that you might be able to share the cause on FB or wherever?

WinterIsComing · 16/01/2012 14:27

Anyone else?

NK346f2849X127d8bca260 · 16/01/2012 14:36

A friend of mine died from the complications of EB last year, it is an awful condition.

KatMumsnet · 16/01/2012 14:53

Hi there, we've edited the title of this thread to include 'upsetting link' just as a warning for others.

TroublesomeEx · 16/01/2012 14:56

Utterly heartbreaking.

OldMumsy · 16/01/2012 16:29

It upset me too, so YADNBU, that poor family. These things shouldn't happen to anyone, let alone little babies.

Janoschi · 16/01/2012 19:22

Really sorry I didn't mention the upsetting nature of the link. Still feel so sad - going to look into doing something proactive for DEBRA, the UK charity for this horrible condition. Thank you to the Mumsnet team for adding the warning to my link. Sad
