to be shocked by Xmas pudding as snack?

I have just heard from the dcs that they have been snacking on Xmas pudding in dh's study today. Apparently he took it there last night to snack on and, with the help of 3 dcs, it was all gone by lunchtime today!

That seems really piggy to me... but am I just cross because I didn't get any?! Xmas Grin

Just amazed thwt you have dcs that like Christmas pudding- I've never met one in real life thwt did!

gamerwidow · 28/12/2011 18:11

Sounds like a great snack to me, I think you're just jealous :)

SuePurblybilt · 28/12/2011 18:12

Disgusting

Lindt reindeer are the snack of choice here.

andaPontyinaPearTreeeeee · 28/12/2011 18:12

Seeker I'm 25 and I still don't like it!

I ate a whole mince pie for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. Blush

LoveInASnowyClimate · 28/12/2011 18:12

Why is it more piggy than Christmas cake or mince pies as a snack? I think you just have pudding envy Grin

yellowraincoat · 28/12/2011 18:13

Why's it any different to snacking on anything else?

TheScaryJessie · 28/12/2011 18:14

I could really do with some Christmas pudding now. I've always loved it, yet I never buy any.

RedBlanket · 28/12/2011 18:15

Come on it's Christmas, it's the only time of year you can get away with eating Yule log, turkey and after eight mints for breakfast.

I am surprised that your DCs like it though, my dad is the only person I know who likes it. I think mine wouldrathwr starve.

lostafrica · 28/12/2011 18:15

I guess cos the whole thing went - with the cake it'd've been a few slices - and ... it wasn't even warmed through!! DH does have a habit of eating straight from the fridge, which I just cringe at every time.

My three extremely fussy children aged 1, 4 and 6 all wolfed down the Heston hidden orange Christmas pudding we had this xmas, much to my surprise. YABU, OP, Christmas pud is om nom nom.

lostafrica · 28/12/2011 18:16

Stuff that should be warmed through, I mean.

They didn't like it on Christmas Day, funnily enough - although it was half-drowned in brandy then!!

Bet you don't eat the whole thing at once, though - cold...

DogQuestions · 28/12/2011 18:37

You are just jealous OP, although your DCs are a bit weird (mind you DS had cold left over sprouts for breakfast the other day do I shouldn't comment).

lostafrica · 28/12/2011 18:45

I hadn't thought of the weirdness aspect, that's a good point. I promise I wasn't stealth boasting!

Hassled · 28/12/2011 18:49

I snack on Christmas pudding fried in brandy butter.

thisisyesterday · 28/12/2011 18:51

my lot like christmas pudding too, it's not that different to christmas cake though is it, really... so don't see the issue with eating it as a snack tbh although oit's much nicer warm and with lots of cream!

TeamSledward · 28/12/2011 18:52

Oh, I neeeeeed some Christmas pudding, brandy butter and custard now.

lostafrica · 28/12/2011 18:57

Oh that sounds soooo nice, Hassled, mmmm, nice quick way to warm a slice through, too.

But it's all GONE!

OP posts:
lostafrica · 28/12/2011 18:58

Precisely, thisisyesterday, warm, cream. mmmmmm... it was all wasted!!

Bluestocking · 28/12/2011 19:00

Mmm. I like a leftover slice fried in plain butter with brandy butter on the side.
