I'm on a one day MN strike today protesting about the Facebook Like button.

There'll be no new threads or comments from me as I'm not happy to be treated as a viral commodity. (apart from the odd update from the picket line of Like button protest threads).

I've been on MN quite late on a Friday and feeling quite maudlin, and I could click on anything to be honest.

How do you know I've got a touchscreen?

The bloody cat and its swishing tail connects me with more sites than I care to reveal.

If I fall forwards drunk with my head against the screen, I can automatically book in to Beamish 'Cookson Country' Museum.

I broke my foot there once.

MardyStropAboutLikeButton · 16/12/2011 16:10

still not posting apart from complaining about the like button. had a good idea of something to post earlier. It might have even been entertaining. But I won't bother.

*"If I fall forwards drunk with my head against the screen, I can automatically book in to Beamish 'Cookson Country' Museum.

That made me really laugh.

I hate the like button as much as any of you, but honestly think that a strike is pointless. Nobody will notice (I don't mean that in a spiteful way, honestly, just that if you flounce people will go 'aww' for 3 minutes, and then just carry on. MN is bigger than any one (or group of) poster(s).

IdoNOTlike · 16/12/2011 18:20

Ive made my placard, where should I stand (Im short so somewhere near the front please!)

MeltedAdventCalendarChocolates · 16/12/2011 18:25

I would never link to a thread on my on FB. Why would I want people seeing my posts? I don't mind it being there but I do think MNHQ are a bit sad for making the fb like button

Trills · 16/12/2011 18:44

I won't do it.

But I don't believe any harm will come to me from its existence.

Do wooly hats come in sizes?

MardyStropAboutLikeButton · 16/12/2011 19:08

Mice have small heads, so must be really small.

Limejelly · 16/12/2011 19:50

I really don't get what everyone is getting so excited about, it's just a button!

You're already posting on the Internet for all and sundry to read, what possible difference does it make if the people reading found your posts via a FB link?

GooKingWenceslas · 16/12/2011 19:50

she has a normal sized head, just with a teeny tiny mouse's face centered on it Xmas Wink

AChristmouseTail · 16/12/2011 20:11

Grin Goo - you are on form this evening!

Mardy - it's tiny Wink
