Okay - you can't just, like, have it an that, but you can join up and hold hands and together we can get it. Rather than all being worried on our little ownsomes: debts, job losses, fuel bills, food costs etc, we can join up and try and DO SOMETHING.

Action is a good thing, better than feeling powerless and hopeless to change our lives on our own. We have started a gang to fight together for the basic things we all want for ourselves and our families: education, housing, healthcare. Come join us!

Together we are strong.

Read the Frothers thread. Read the blog, TooManyCuts. Tweet on Twitter.

Join up and hold hands and don't let the bastards grind us down!

ps I will send someone slightly more technical along to do the links...

I've read KM's thread and had a squizz at the blog. I'm a bit too lazy busy to get my head around the original 'Unite Time for Change' thread, would you mind outlining the core Frothy values/aims so I can decide whether I will lend it my support please?

Ta much.

Here is the Blog

Hullygully · 07/12/2011 09:29

It's very simple. Party politics aside: Stop Dismantling and Chopping Up All the Good Stuff it's taken years to establish.

Can I burn my bra? Obviously as a statement against everything and not because my boobs have vanished and it's a pointless piece of clothing now

Hullygully · 07/12/2011 09:37

Of course you can.

MudAndGlitter · 07/12/2011 09:39

Whoop! I feel like marching whilst chanting witty chants. What are we frothing about in particular? Or is it the whole damn mess?

Hullygully · 07/12/2011 09:42

Pretty much the whole damn mess.

We don't want to wake up and find Whoops! NHS gorn, national education service gorn, safety net for poor gorn...

Look at what a mess privatisation made of the railways and the fuel companies...

What a marvellous thread!

Essentially we're just normal people who are realising that some of the things we should be most proud of: NHS, eductation, basic employment rights are being dismantled by the stealth and once it goes that's it. We won't get it back.

We also feel there is no natural justice. That the poor, the disabled, single parents and women in particular are feeling the brunt of the cuts and are actively being targeted by the government because they are an easy target.

There is so much going on that it is almost impossible to keep up - so we've tried to put everything in one place. So no matter what your political leanings, if you feel things are not right (even just on some issues), we will be blogging about it and giving links to others campaigns.

We are about information and education and if you want to take action we are collating details of what is happening so you can do something from your arm chair, or your desk, while feeding your baby, while on the train to work.

Check out the blog. You can just read it if you want: toomanycuts.blogspot.com

Join Facebook if that's your thing: www.facebook.com/frothers

Or get onto Twitter and follow the #frothers hashtag, or follow @tmc_frothers

But please, do something before it's too late.

KateFrothers · 07/12/2011 10:21

MudAndGlitter · 07/12/2011 10:40

I just tweeted the blog with the phrase get frothing before they cut you too.

Please don't let me anywhere near campaign slogans Sad

Callisto · 07/12/2011 11:07

I like the idea of love peace and hope, but I don't believe that the health service, education and a saftey net for the poor are in any danger of being dismantled. We are collectively up shit creek without a paddle, it's true. But the only way to get ourselves back to the lake of prosperity is to tighten our belts and suck up the fact that standards of living are going to decrease for a while. Oh, and thank the Lord above that we are not part of the Euro Zone.

Hullygully · 07/12/2011 11:13

Callisto - it's not that they are in danger, it's worse, the process has already started.

Callisto, I think if you have a read of the blog and particularly this one: toomanycuts.blogspot.com/2011/12/are-you-sure-youre-all-right-jack.html

Or this: toomanycuts.blogspot.com/2011/12/caught-in-trap-between-esa-and-jsa.html

Or this: toomanycuts.blogspot.com/2011/12/csa-changes-yet-another-stick-to-beat.html

You might not feel quite so sure that the safety nets are being protected...

Can we do something about petrol prices please. They are cripplingly high.

Have 'liked' Frothers.

Quenelle · 07/12/2011 11:45

Nice thread and very timely. DH and I were having a froth together at the weekend. We consider ourselves quite privileged compared to many (as long as we both keep our jobs) and are really worried about the way things are looking for many, many people. I have resolved that 2012 will be a year to get active.

I have shared the blog on my FB page and signed the C4 campaign. I'm a Twumpty though. How do I retweet or follow Frothers?

Hullygully · 07/12/2011 11:54

Well done my lovelies. You have contributed to spreading the love and watering the plant of peace. Ommmmmmmmmmm.
