Okay - you can't just, like, have it an that, but you can join up and hold hands and together we can get it. Rather than all being worried on our little ownsomes: debts, job losses, fuel bills, food costs etc, we can join up and try and DO SOMETHING.

Action is a good thing, better than feeling powerless and hopeless to change our lives on our own. We have started a gang to fight together for the basic things we all want for ourselves and our families: education, housing, healthcare. Come join us!

Together we are strong.

Read the Frothers thread. Read the blog, TooManyCuts. Tweet on Twitter.

Join up and hold hands and don't let the bastards grind us down!

ps I will send someone slightly more technical along to do the links...

Callisto
I am all for tightening my belt, that is not the problem.

But are you really expecting someone who is already living in poverty to survive on less money than they already have? How is that supposed to work?

Please do read the All Right Jack post, it is very very good at showing how quickly our lives could change, through no fault of our own.

We must make cuts, everyone is aware of that, but we should not cut at the bottom. It is like deadheading a rose at the root.

Quennelle
search on Twitter for tmc_frothers, or click on the link I posted earlier, then follow.

If you follow me @mmelindor and have a look at my profile, I have a link to my blog post about how to use Twitter

Quenelle · 07/12/2011 12:02

Quenelle · 07/12/2011 12:41

MmeLindor I've worked out how to follow you and tmc_frothers but I fear I have broken your blog. Perhaps I clicked too hard or something but it worked for a minute then I clicked on something, I forget what, and now it just says internal server error... Xmas Blush

MmeLindor. · 07/12/2011 12:46

Quennelle
I doubt you have broken it. OOhhh, I know. The link might be broken - I had an issue (read: disaster) last month.

Try this

KateFrothers · 07/12/2011 12:53

at frothy love!
Marvellous thread Hully.

Am even considering writing a blog. There I've said it now, I'm going to see what people think on the other thread. But I feel so worried about so many things, so much is wrong, and I don't understand how the Gov can think what they are doing is right. Tis good to know so many others feel the same.

Hullygully · 07/12/2011 14:43

Frothy love is the Way

I linked the blog on my Facebook too. I quite like spreading the froth

spikeymikey · 07/12/2011 15:06

In a list of things that the last government did which enhanced society, what would you reckon is really worth clinging on to?

I would say Surestart (which was just getting established). I would also say any benefits to carers, and support for them. I tend to think that free bus-passes for the over sixties is probably a good thing, to keep them active. I realise that this generation won the generation lottery but we still need to take care of them. (I know there must be loads more, just wondering what we would like to keep from a limited smorgasbord. (+shorter waiting lists)

I wish they would cut the civil service.

Scarletbanner · 07/12/2011 20:13

I just want to say huge thanks to the bloggers and others who are taking this forward and growing it big. Since starting to froth I've been back at work/studying and have had little time to be involved, so I'm really grateful to all those people who are actively tweeting and blogging. On all our behalfs, thank you, thank you, thank you!
