Go and do something interesting without him.

RevoltingPeasant · 25/11/2011 21:17

Riverside oh I am, don't worry.

He says, if you all ask your husbands and partners, they will know WHICH cricket match it is. Or at least, which series.

Because that makes it all better....

Hmm

Dh hates cricket.

I, however was pregnant in 2005 and was utterly griped by the Ashes. I'd probably watch the highlights on dvd.

daveywarbeck · 25/11/2011 21:19

My husband has been known to watch reruns of election coverage. 1987 is his favourite. I tell him I know who wins but he won't listen to me.

DownbytheRiverside · 25/11/2011 21:21

My relationship has lasted three decades based on a mutual loathing of sport. OH hasn't got a clue how many there are in a cricket team, he took extra Latin and Greek when the rest did cricket at school.
Ours is a sports-free household, want to come over?

franticallyjugglinglife · 25/11/2011 21:22

It will be the ashes 2005. And it was a fabulous series. YADBU!!

blackeyedsusan · 25/11/2011 21:22

but which cricket match? is it a long dvd? (like 5 days?) or just the highlights?

I seriously think you need to confiscate it and send it here

(oh the bliss of watching 5 days of cricket uninterupted by rain, badlight or small children. I have to make do with tms and millions of interuptions despite having 3 radios tuned in, and occasionally on the computer too. )

BecauseImWorthIt · 25/11/2011 21:24

When we won the Ashes?

franticallyjugglinglife · 25/11/2011 21:24

Election coverage reruns though.... really?! Shock

daveywarbeck · 25/11/2011 21:25

I shit you not.

RevoltingPeasant · 25/11/2011 21:26

davey Shock Okay, now I realise I am just being a little girl. You should bury him under the patio.

juggling and susan, you are weirdos, but I will excuse you with the idea that you have had too much Wine

PandorasSocks · 25/11/2011 21:26

Leave him?

I think you should kill him!

It would be a kindness.

Kayano · 25/11/2011 21:26

Wait 2005?! The Ashes!

I begrudged working when that was on. I used to plead with people in the break room for the tv remote. Grin

I always got it

picnicbasketcase · 25/11/2011 21:26

Do you know the score? Tell him spoilers.

pipsqueak · 25/11/2011 21:27

RevoltingPeasant · 25/11/2011 21:35

pip I just asked DP and apparently he does that too. Shock Who knew??

OP posts:
afteralongsquawk · 25/11/2011 21:35

Surely watching 1 1/2 hours of the best bits is less unreasonable than watching 5 lots of 5 days of the whole thing in the first place....Confused

thegirlwithnoname · 25/11/2011 21:35

Dh hates cricket.
He only likes fishing.
So when your dh says, if you all ask your husbands and partners, they will know WHICH cricket match it is. Or at least, which series. you can caterogrically say that he is wrong!!

We have basic Sky Tv, we paid the extra to have films (4 dd) and sports (4 ds) and in the two months we had it, ds watched one wrestling match and dd who is 17, watched some crap called The Christmas BunnyHmm so I have cancelled it.
