He is watching a DVD of a cricket match.

A DVD.

Of a cricket match.

From 2005.

Please tell me IANBU.

OP posts:
MrsWifty · 25/11/2011 21:39

Is he wearing one of those plush Union Jack top hats? Twat hats I believe they're known as. I vaguely remember them being popular with cricket fans around that time. If so, YADNBU

MmeLindor. · 25/11/2011 21:39

DH would not have known that.

He is German though and doesn't "get" cricket.

He is also pretty much disinterested in sport but does like cars. So we watch a lot of car programmes. I can tell you stuff about torque and how many miles to the gallon you can do in a BMW or even....

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 25/11/2011 21:40

Leave the Bastard

SirBoobAlot · 25/11/2011 21:40

PMSL at Davey.

OP, you are totally not unreasonable. Run, woman. Run.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 25/11/2011 21:42

I make my OH say

'I wan ta watch da crickit'

in a Guyanese accent because it makes me larf.

Its an impression of his lovely late father Smile

(thats the only cricket story I got)

franticallyjugglinglife · 25/11/2011 21:43

A little wine it is true Smile

I was at the edgebaston test which we won by just 2 runs... an amazing finish. If it is that match, you can tell your dh that I watch it over and over too... and i was v v sober as pregnant with dd1!

pipsqueak · 26/11/2011 00:01

revolting - feel a bit better that someone elses dh does this - i thought i was in a lonely place!

olibeansmummy · 26/11/2011 08:32

Yanbu dh watches old games on Liverpool fc tv Angry

Binfullofmaggotsonthe45 · 26/11/2011 08:36

Buy a Dynasty box set and make him sit through it.

He'll get your point.

Proudnscary · 26/11/2011 08:40

Cricket DVDs? Pah, you know nothing of pain and torture.

Not content with football, rugby and cricket, my dh has turned his attention to..DARTS. YES DARTS. THAT'S...DARTS FOLKS. DARTS.

Shodan · 26/11/2011 08:42

Wow.

Even DH thinks this is 'ludicrous'.

And this is from a man who watches football, cricket, rugby and most of all sodding golf whenever he gets his grubby little paws on the tv remote. (Which to be fair is not often, as I have a pathological loathing of televised sport). And checks the scores frequently on the internet.I really thought he'd say he couldn't see the problem with it.

So YANBU. Leave him immediately.

Or kill him. May be kinder in the long run.

Shodan · 26/11/2011 08:43

Oh God.

The darts.

I'd forgotten that.

I can feel a support group coming on, Proudnscary.

Flisspaps · 26/11/2011 08:44

olibeansmummy same here. I've seen more reruns of the Liverpool v Everton FA Cup final than I ever thought it was possible. I get a second-by-second account every time too.

Even worse is DH will put LFCTV on, literally watch 2 seconds of a match and go 'oh, this was when we beat them 1-0 (or whatever), XX scores in the 51st minute and we should have had a penalty when Z boots Y but the ref doesn't see. June 1992 I think it was. I was there'

He can't remember if I take sugar in my tea, or that too many Shreddies make DD turn into a poo monster, but can give you a full commentary of any Liverpool match from just a glimpse Hmm

SarahStratton · 26/11/2011 10:29

Oh The Christmas Bunny is lovely, I watched it yesterday and cried . YANBU for hating the cricket, but thegirl is definitely BU for calling The Christmas Bunny crap.
