Shes an utterly poisoned witch.
'no ones starving in the UK' oh really?
And 'the wealthy elderly shouldnt be pressurised into donating their fuel allowance to someone who needs it more'
I can always see peoples points of view however controversial, but she really is a nasty little witch.
Cant she be replaced by a nice person? With something positive to contribute?

She didn't actually say that.

weevilswobble · 19/11/2011 09:36

I had the impression she said that those in receipt of the winter fuel allowance shouldnt be made to feel guilty if they didnt donate it to someone who needed it more. If £200 isnt a big deal to you, then why shouldnt it be suggested that you could donate it to someone who it is a big deal to?

Did you see her on the ITV lunchtime news yesterday? She got an absolute pasting from the This Morning agony aunt - it was brilliant! I'm hoping it's on their website. The only time I've ever seen her look embarrassed. And they ran out of time so she couldn't defend herself. A classic TV moment!

weevilswobble · 19/11/2011 09:39

She also said on the One Show that that Mum should loose her dog if she couldnt afford to feed it. I have a cat and wouldnt dream of getting rid.
Bet Edwina Currie hasnt had baked potatoes with Value cream cheese all week! My cat has had cat food! Shes part of the family!

Please watch it! It really is the first time I've ever seen someone get the better of her. I cackled at home to myself for ages!!!

weevilswobble · 19/11/2011 09:42

Didnt see that Little! Grin
She got a pasting from a Nun who runs a centre, it was great.
I really want to smack tell her.

She completely rubbished local Community Foundations which is beyond ridiculous. These funds are run meticiculously. Currie's attitude towards charitable giving is a disgrace.

Andrewofgg · 19/11/2011 09:43

No.

Boiled in oil.

LittleLucifer · 19/11/2011 09:44

Ha ha! A telling off from Denise Robertson MBE and a nun - all in one day. Hoorah!

weevilswobble · 19/11/2011 09:45

weevilswobble · 19/11/2011 09:47

She went to school with my mother, who informs me she was vile even then. YANBU save that I am with Andrewofgg.

weevilswobble · 19/11/2011 09:48

Cant view the link at the mo.

Where is she coming from on this? What is her motivation? Is she just trying to get in the public eye again so she'll get invited on a reality show??

weevilswobble · 19/11/2011 09:54

She thinks she right. She thinks she has an eye on some elusive truth that all the thicko's cant see. Err hello? Christianity? Love? Charity? Kindness? All the things you cant legislate for.

Karma's a bitch.....

Blush

It appears I may have misheard.

PigletJohn · 19/11/2011 10:08

the lionk says "Anyone over the age of 60 is currently eligible for £200 a year to help with keeping their homes warm."

Not true. the age has been creeping up with female pension age.

4madboys · 19/11/2011 10:16

she is a vile vile excuse for a human being, i heard her on the radio the other night and sat there Shock i wanted to slap her. absolutely vile going into that womans home and picking apart the fact that her kitchen was clean and tidy and that she had fruit on the table etc, saying she shouldnt be entitled to benefits and criticising the fact that she had a car, which she is ENTITLED to and paid herself to have sorted for her to drive with her disability, she was a blue badge holder ffs and yet Edwina was basically saying she wasnt 'needy' or 'deserving' of benefits!!! made me very Angry

she should try living the life some people have to, let her be a carer 24/7 and live of benefits and see how easy she finds it, vile woman.

4madboys · 19/11/2011 10:18

i dont know what the age is, but i know my mil is entitled to it and gets each year, and has absolutely no need for it at all, however i wouldnt be suprised if she saw the campaign and did give it to chairty, she is very kind hearte dlike that and even at her age 70, does work for charity (voluntary) and helps out at various groups etc :)

blackoutthesun · 19/11/2011 10:38

she is getting another kicking on shy news now
