not every day but occasionally whe the need for carbs is overwhelming.

I think 4 is acceptable. Does that help.

Also, I want toast now, and we are a wheat free household. YABU for making me want toast.

AtYourCervix · 17/11/2011 22:43

i've had 4 abd feel the need for more. which is i know worong but necessary.

southeastastra · 17/11/2011 22:43

four and a croissant or equally savoury item

MissVerinder · 17/11/2011 22:43

One per meal, I'd guess is ok- toast, sandwich, roll with dinner.

It might be unreasonable to eat a whole french stick whilst cooking dinner, not that I've frequently done that!

AtYourCervix · 17/11/2011 22:43

bugger. typing shit this evening.

yousankmybattleship · 17/11/2011 22:45

I think 4 is sensible. That would be a couple of slices of toeast for breakfast and a sandwich at luchtime. When premenstrual though I believe apporx 25 slices of toast is the recommended daily allowance. Hope that helps.

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 17/11/2011 22:48

I fin that if I have two slices, of toast spread with whatever it is I want most, or a sandwich, then it will be delicious and I will think that I want another, but if I actually have another (so another two slices) then it's never as nice and can leave me feeling "over-podged" and a bit iffy. I have learned eventually since I am now in my 40s! that greed doesn't pay and I enjoy the first lot and leave myself wanting the second because I just know it won't be as nice. Sadly I am still totally obese and grotesquely fat overweight :(

AtYourCervix · 17/11/2011 22:50

normally i'd only have 2. either for breakfast or super. but today i had breakfast, and lunch and now i fancy more.

maybe have soe leftovers instead.

Depends on the parallel sausage roll intake.

I would say, if pastry has been consumed, then one or two slices. But I'm foolishly optimistric.

LadyEatsCrispsALot · 17/11/2011 22:56

None. Bread is the devils work....;))

AtYourCervix · 17/11/2011 22:58

Depends what else you have eaten. 6 slices would not be unreasonable as long as it was occasional IMO.

AtYourCervix · 17/11/2011 23:03

and i have had Wine

and am a little anxious abou ttomorrows xray of the knackered wrist.

How do people crave carbs?

I genuinely don't understand

I'm either hungry or I'm not hungry...then I look in the fridge/cupboards

I honestly couldn't say 'I'm craving carbs' 'iron' 'vitimins' or anything other than food Confused

Is it a state of mind or something?

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 17/11/2011 23:06

Eat some more toast, it will be soothing and you will go to sleep.

fannybanjo · 17/11/2011 23:07

Cervix are you me?! Shock. I've eaten exactly the same meals as you today! Plus crisps with lunch. Bad girls!

AtYourCervix · 17/11/2011 23:09

worral. i'm afraid you aren't human. i think perhaps you are some sort of borg.

OP posts:
worraliberty · 17/11/2011 23:11

I read that as 'some sort of bog' Shock

Really, though perhaps I don't 'crave carbs' because other than bread...I don't really know what contains a lot of carbs and what doesnt

Maybe that's it?

AtYourCervix · 17/11/2011 23:13

i wish i didn't. i'm hooked on everything that is nice and bad in excess. cheese, white bread, butter, cake, wine.

why can't i develop a craving for broccoli, or tofu.?

OP posts:
worraliberty · 17/11/2011 23:14

Oh wine? Does that have carbs?

In that case I'm a carbaholic Blush

AtYourCervix · 17/11/2011 23:17

fraid so.

you are no longer borg and human again Grin

OP posts:
Feminine · 17/11/2011 23:18

The more carbs you eat ...the more you will crave HTH Grin

Its the sugars your body is wanting...

I try to avoid refined carbs...not today though, I have eaten loads as expecting period!

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 17/11/2011 23:19

Does the ice-cream never call to you Worra?

Have you never heard the tin of hot dog sausages whispering your name as you pass the cupboard? "Open us...eat us cold...straight from the tin...you know you want us?"

Never demanded mackerel in the middle of the night because the dog has a bald patch and you rubbed some kind of homeopathic fish remedy on her early in the day and can't stop thinking about the smell and feeling hungry?

piratecat · 17/11/2011 23:19

lol @ borg!!

I have tried to be mindful of slice intake the last week. It's another of my omg i need to DO something about this weight times. i am 42 and have been saying this for 15 yrs

Today was a baaaaaaaaad day, and i was mindful that i had 4 slices. If not mindul i can easily do four slices plus pasta, and a cheeky pastry in a coffee shop.

obviously i am in denial of my increased weight actually being down to the fact that i heart carbs. I have spent about 8 thousand days eating 2 many of them. Thats why i am FAT!!!!!

it's true, i know it. becuase my body loves carbs and likes to wallpaper them on my bum and thighs.

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 17/11/2011 23:21

x-posted. The wine has you. Smile
