Ha! She is now dating his friend, I did ponder it for a while but thought we might look petty if everyone but her came

Why do you care?

BoobleBeep · 17/11/2011 19:24

I didn't mind on the day as was having far too much fun but just looking back through the photos and and am a bit Hmm

BoobleBeep · 17/11/2011 19:25

I don't really care, am wondering whether she was trying to draw attention to herself though.

She's probably been advised somewhere on MN to do precisely that.

Its you he married, perhaps she felt like she wanted to look her best as she was going to the wedding of her ex and was feeling insecure about it as everyone would know that she was the ex who he didn't marry. Shouldn't be any skin off your nose really as you got the man.

NinkyNonker · 17/11/2011 19:26

Black isn't traditionally done as it is the colour of mourning. Less so now, but for an ex to wear it does seem a bit of a statement.

My step mil (who begged DH not to marry me) wore black to our wedding. Oh how we laughed...

FontSnob · 17/11/2011 19:29

Really, I wore black to a friends wedding, the only statement i was trying to make was that i'd had a baby 4 months previously and was trying to look slimmer than I was!

yellowraincoat · 17/11/2011 19:30

Honestly, that's sort of hilarious of her. It's like something out of Dynasty!

NinkyNonker · 17/11/2011 19:31

Grin I know that feeling! If she wasn't an ex I don't think it would come across badly.

ChuffMuffin · 17/11/2011 19:31

Why was she there? Hmm

I wish I'd have been there!

floweryblue · 17/11/2011 19:34

booble don't give it another thought. You have shown dignity by inviting her in the first place, dress codes are very loose these days, she probably just thought she looked nice.

FontSnob · 17/11/2011 19:34

To be honest, I think it depends on the type of wedding it was, a slinky black number to a wedding in a barn is a different thing to a slinky black number in a posh london hotel.
