Hello, I am a total twitter addict! spend most of my time on it.

But it took me a good couple of years to get to where i am now. I started with celebs but got very bored very quickly. The main trigger was coming across people who tweeted about reality TV, of which I am a massive fan. and that got me hooked. being able to talk to people who actually replied to me was fab.

Then it was all the very lovely MN'ers on there that has made it complete.

Please dont be afraid to say what you want to people,
Do just jump into a conversation if you feel you have something to add, or agree with,
Dont worry about what others think,
Be yourself and give it time to take off it doesnt happen straight away.

God I get a headache just thinking about twitter

Glad I am not the only one who doesn't get it!

Twitter takes some getting used to but I love it now. I search for my local area and there's always lots of tweets come up about what's on/local news. I search motorways before journeys and if there's traffic there would always be recent moans about being stuck in traffic. General celeb gossip also keeps me entertained though I change who I follow if anyone gets boring or annoying. There is also facility for looking at "trending topics" which is interesting and can lure you into joining in.

You should all download Tweetright (search Amazon for it) by @nicolamorgan. I am @clarekirkp on there. If you follow me and say hello, I'll follow you back. You just need to leap in and chat - think of it like a big party. You don't have big long involved convos, you just dip in and out - like small talk.

The hashtag (#) is also used by people in a jokey way - so I might tweet

"Is it time for wine yet? #pleasesayyes"

I love Twitter. It's a bit like being in a big, noisy pub, where you can join in with anyone's conversations.
