...when all the Christmas stuff starts?

Was in town yesterday looking at all the lovely twinkly lights. And I've just seen Delia and Heston'e Waitrose ad.

I don't think I'll ever stop being 5 years old when it comes to Christmas.

YANBU at all

As soon as I see the Coca Cola advert I leak a bit of wee Grin

ShowOfHands · 06/11/2011 15:05

I am actually hugging myself when I think nobody can see. I am similarly young as soon as it starts up.

NinkyNonker · 06/11/2011 15:05

I love it. I am a complete saddo for Christmas.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 06/11/2011 15:17

But it's only just November, you nutters.. Grin

GetOrfMo1Land · 06/11/2011 15:22

I also love Christmas.

I don't actually buy very much stuff in the preceding weeks, I leave it all to Christrmas eve, it is so much fun shopping then, the shops are usually pretty quiet, there are loads of tiddly and jolly people about as work usually kicks them out at midday, and it is all jolly and warm feeling.

ShirleyGoesBananas · 06/11/2011 19:38

Christmas!!!! Get in!

Arachnophobic · 06/11/2011 19:45

YABU.

The run-up to Christmas is great but having to spend it with my family or his immediate family is a bloody chore.

I would happily get on a plane on the 24th and return on the 2nd.

Nagoo · 06/11/2011 19:45

I like it, I'm making elves.

But I get cross when I hear the music in shops already.

Unless it's Fairytale of New York.

slavetofilofax · 06/11/2011 19:58

Yanbu.

I got quite excuted last week when I got my first Christmas coffee cup from Costa, even though they aren't as nice as the starbucks ones.

Backtobedlam · 06/11/2011 20:02

YANBU...I cannot wait. Even the tesco advert is getting me feeling all festive! This year we are at home as a family so all the fun and none of the rushing around pressure. I may even get to have half a glass of sherry!

NoobyNoob · 06/11/2011 20:15

YANBU. I bloody love it too.

I don't care that I watch Kirsties Homemade Christmas, I don't care that I cook far too many mince pies far too early, and I don't care that I start shopping in October.

:)

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 06/11/2011 20:23

bah fucking humbug to that !

Esta3GG · 06/11/2011 20:29

I like it, I'm making elves.

You are making elves? Grin

UKSky · 06/11/2011 21:08

Yep was in the 99p store on Friday and they were playing christmas music. Was singing along

Nagoo · 06/11/2011 21:16

I am indeed.

I made the pattern up and everyfink!

I never made anything and then I acquired some felt and tried. Grin

Mark 3 is quite cute. I'm thinking I might get some small beads for the next one to have sinister beady watching eyes, so as to convince gullible children that he is watching on behalf of Santa. Grin

JjandtheBeanplusPud · 06/11/2011 21:18

YANBU

I LOVE it, love it.

I popped into a tiny precinct (sp) in our neighbouring town (has around 8 shops in) the other day on my own and all the lights and garlands were up, I actually said "wow" the security guard laughed and said "ahh bless"

SuePurblybilt · 06/11/2011 21:20

Love it. Have Christmas toys out for DD and the CDs in the car.
I am so excited.

TheThingUpstairs · 06/11/2011 21:23

Yanbu, I love it too!

frutilla · 06/11/2011 21:24

I haven't spent Xmas in UK for 5 years and it's not the same here. Hot weather and not much Xmassy stuff. V excited that i might make it back this year!!! Do they still have those chocolate bar selection packs that look like a cardboard stocking covered in netting or am i just showing my age...?

HowlingBitch · 06/11/2011 21:26

I'm currently shopping for the perfect 7ft Christmas tree and I feel all warm and fuzzy. :o

HowlingBitch · 06/11/2011 21:27

frutilla! They those in Lidl this week they were always my favorite and I hadn't seen one in years.

Neuromantic · 06/11/2011 21:29

I like Christmas. At Christmas. Not in sodding November, I'll be bored silly of it before the bloody advent calanders come out!

StealthPenguin · 07/11/2011 00:55

I am normally Grinchworthy this time of year, but thanks to my gorgeous DS I am singing carols and have bought our very first Christmas Tree.

AND ALL OF MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING HAS BEEN DONE! EVERYTHING IS WRAPPED, JAZZED UP WITH RIBBON AND READY TO GO! AND THAT INCLUDES THE WINE/BAILEYS/CHOCOLATES/NAUGHTY ITEMS THAT WE SHOULDN'T GET!!

:D

wherearemysocks · 07/11/2011 01:26

I was in Hyde Park yesterday and saw them setting up Winter Wonderland, I got very excited.

I've had loads some mulled wine already too, but managed to swerve the mince pies so far.
