to want to scream at Tesco?

It looks like they are not going to do their double points offer on clubcard vouchers this year.

I've been saving tokens ALL year. Feel so stupid that I was relying on this for Xmas.

You think they could have warned us though....
Grrr.

everyone should scream at Tesco

nethunsreject · 26/10/2011 13:02

Ooh, I predict a lot of people will be cross about this.

I am not surprised though. Miserable fuckers could easily do it.

tooearlymustdache · 26/10/2011 13:02

i'll scream at tesco with you.

i don't use them but am having a Really Shitty Few Weeks

MovesLikeJagger · 26/10/2011 13:03

I want to scream at them too. And punch them in the imaginary big blue and red face. Fuckers.

MoaninMinny · 26/10/2011 13:05

i use all my clubcard vouchers to pay for my christmas shopping

always have at least £150 in tokens, so that pays for a big chunk of it

yay for tesco!

duvetdayplease · 26/10/2011 13:05

Yes, scream at them. Then find somewhere else to shop. They don't give a fuck if you hate them, they've got your money haven't they?

cookcleanerchaufferetc · 26/10/2011 13:05

They are wankers...... Just gone to eat some cake and it is 4 days out of date despite just being bought!

SootySweepandSue · 26/10/2011 13:09

I used to deal with Tesco at my old job and I can say that the majority of their head office personnel are indeed the scum of the earth IMO. A nasty, profit-grabbing, arrogant lot. I can not bring myself to even buy a pint of milk in there and many in the food industry feel the same.

MoaninMinny · 26/10/2011 13:10

lol they will be sobbing all the way to the next billion

banana87 · 26/10/2011 13:11

I hate tesco so will join you in screaming at them Grin

AFuckingKnackeredWoman · 26/10/2011 13:14

My er cousin in law(is there such a thing?) is a bigwig in tesco he is indeed a soulless cunt of the highest order.

duckdodgers · 26/10/2011 13:15

They are a supermarket at the end of the day - a business. If you don't like them - dont shop there, its not rocket science. I collect my club card points all year to - no-one forces me to shop there so I tend to shop in all the supermarkets now so my points aren't that high - but its still a bit extra isnt it.

CoffeeDog · 26/10/2011 13:29

just dragged 4 kids round teco... Kids quizzed the butcher on his meat, the fish man on his fish then gave up and declared WE KNOW MORE THAN YOU AND WERE ONLY 5 (only 2 are 2 are 2)

Sums it up really...

YANBU - and that's before reading your post [hgrin]

LadyMontdore · 26/10/2011 13:53

The point of the clubcard scheme is to collect data and target advertising. Eg all the coupons I get are for 50p off something I don't buy, or the slightly more expensive version. I get vouchers for £10 of when you spend over £70 - I never spend over £70 .
It's not a charity or savings scheme!

Debs75 · 26/10/2011 13:56

I thought they were doing the voucher exchange in stores for christmas, maybe time to reread your emails. I am using mine for the x4reward and taking mum for a meal for her birthday. Much better then using the vouchers in store. And a cheap birthday for mum

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/10/2011 14:00

Dh has just gone through all our tesco receipts for about the last 3 months, looking at our spending, and he says that our food bills have gone up since tesco started their Big Price Drop campaign

CoffeeandChocolateplease · 26/10/2011 14:19

Do you mean double points or double up on vouchers? Double points has stopped, but my DH was on the phone to Tesco today and they said that double up was happening. So if you've got vouchers saved up, you can still use them for that?

Jackstini · 26/10/2011 14:53

Had a gut sinking feeling then when I read x4 was back as have JUST got vouchers back at x3.
Luckily holidays are still x3 so only felt sick for a short while!
We have saved for 2 years and turned vouchers into 790 quid of hols so cant moan

KaFayOLay · 26/10/2011 15:05

I love Tesco :)

Now don't get me started on Asda and the chicken licking scummy staff that the y employ Shock.

I'd rather starve than shop at Asda :). Fact Grin

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 26/10/2011 15:10

I've started doing my online shop through MySupermarket and then you can compare your basket with Ocado, Tesco, ASDA and Sainbury's. The last three times Ocado have come up the cheapest for near-identical stuff, with Tesco the highest. I don't buy weird stuff, just the usual fruit and veg, cooking ingredients etc. Bit of an eye-opener.

Andrewofgg · 26/10/2011 15:40

I find my local branch convenient, well-stocked with the things I need at a price I find fair, and efficient. So I use it. Don't have to like their policies.

Oh yes, and plenty of BB and P & C spaces which I don't use but which will always be good for a rant here, won't they? :)

alwayspoor · 26/10/2011 15:46

Yep tesco=crap I uese to rely on them for holiday vouchers but there delivery sevice so rubbish I use ocado, which is excellent.

MoaninMinny · 26/10/2011 15:50
