I was reading opinions on Christina Aguilera's weight gain elsewhere with a link to the Daily Turd website here...

In all honestly I can see she's perhaps not the whippet-like figure she once was, but she's hardly a big old McFatty pig-dog.

AIBU to think that most human beings fluctuate in their weight in their lives and despite the fact she looks a bit bigger than she once was she still looks normal and hardly a "mess"? As a normal sized human myself I find this rather odd. Unless of course, they forgot to print the picture where she undoes the corsett and out pops and extra 20 stone of wibbly wobbly blubbery fat.

She was clearly quite unnaturally skinny at the highpoint of her career. But from what I hear, her problem now isn't so much with food as with drink....

In fact Cilo Green is in the same article and they don't seem to be saying anything about his size and he's a lot bigger than her but because he's a bloke and he's a good singer and has never been a skinny man then no one really gives much in the way of any fucks.

I do think plenty of people have been on at Cee Lo to be fair. I was watching X Factor last night (yep, my credentials as a person of high taste are secured) and he was noticeably very breathless

Nasty, nasty journos. She has the most amazing voice & looks no less odd or dishevelled than most other pop stars. It is such a cheap shot to have a dig at her weight. Need a deeply despise emoticon!!!!!

she's not long had a baby, she's up there giving it her all and is having an amazing time!

She isn't massive but they are right to say that the outfit looks awful on her. But why is the Daily Fail so bothered about what she looks like anyway? Can't they comment on her singing performance instead?

I have no idea if the Daily Fail hates women because I don't read it. I also don't read it on the sly and then pretend to MN it's a load of shit so I don't read it.

Basically I just really don't read it Grin

But compare the article to what the OP has said....big old McFatty pig-dog and 20 stone of wibbly wobbly blubbery fat and I can see which one would be more insulting to anyone who is over weight.

She looks like a heavy drinker now imo.

Her figure looks fine (not that it is up to us or the DM to comment) but I think the puffiness of her face makes her appear much bigger than she is and they've leapt on that. She looked the same guesting on the XF last year.

I am more smacked of gob that one of Michael Jackson's sons is actually called Blanket. Really?

I think the problem is we are so used to getting outraged when a paper criticizes a woman for being overweight (although we dont do it on the other end of the scale Hmm) that we are just get upset instinctively. I like CA, I think she has a great voice. but she looks dreadful and is just as bad a role model for young women as the super-skinny celebs are.

does "very curvy figure" mean fat arse? 'cos it isn't. IMO it's just that she isn't a skinny 18-yo any more. No reason she should be.

She looks much better in the skirt than in the fishnets though
