To throw eggs at these oddballs?

People in nightwear. During the day. In the street.

Im not talking a sly coat over jamas to drop the kids off, im talking full jim jams, dressing gown and slippers walking down the main street to go to the shop!!!

whats going on!?

It's a Thing, innit. People in shopping centres in sleepwear.
I have never seen it but then I never go to shopping centres, I rely on MN for my info.

When our village still had a shop, I once saw a young man emerging mid-morning with a pint of milk wearing boxer shorts. Not even slippers!

it seems to be a epidemic round my way. Its getting worse, at first it was the odd one or two but now it seems more folk are undressed than dressed. Our tesco has banned people from wearing nightclothes in there!

The other day a lass was waking down the busiest street in town, wearing shorts and a bra looking off her face!

well on the estate where my mum lives i saw a hunky man in a dressing gown and slippers chatting to his mates in the street - they were all agreeing that their mate should get the lump in his balls checked followed by but how we going to get him to the doctors?!

Very strange ... i felt i had entered the twilight zone.

BTW i was walking VERY slowly but as i said he was attractive Grin

Maybe thats what it is.... maybe Im jealous! They always have proper disney jamas too! Not cheap ones!

It sucks when you have to get up to go to work, and drive past people wearing their jamas, and they still doing it when you come home!!!!

MAYbe they are "jama testers?"

Have any of your kids had a PJ day at school? DD did this year - so there was a whole busful of PJ'd girls (DD was glad I suggested she wear her trackie over hers to travel though, it was midwinter!).

My next door neighbours go everywhere in pj's, shops, school run (morning and afternoon journey). I agree throw the eggs.
You can't live near me i'm sure of this as 80% wear pj's all day and the other 15% are pensioners, us other 5% are dafties who have jobs Wink
I would of noticed you as a normal neighbour if you did.

One Sunday not too long ago I drove past two women and a man chatting perfectly normally in the street, outside an organic food shop. The man was stark bollock naked.

ive not done it for years but i used to do the joggy bottoms, hoody and slippers look but ive never lived more than 2 mins from a newsagents. i like being able to get my paper and morning rolls before school:) and i like my junk food close by Blush

A woman who lives near me goes out in her PJs and dressing gown every morning to take her dog for a walk. (It's not early morning, and it's not a short walk.)

It is vile and annoying and a bit of a 'thing' round my way. I appreciate it if you live round the corner and you need a pint of milk, but I saw this woman the other day at 3pm nipping round to the shops in pyjamas and slippers. Surely that is just laziness?

And does it really take more than 2 seconds to throw on a pair of joggers?

I think its almost a fashion where I live - Recently I have seen lots of girls in their teens / early twenties in our local shops in PJ bottoms and slippers - but with a full face of make up and hair done!
I don't understand it at all.

I would love it if somebody did that round here. All dressed up to the nines. You feel guilty if you've not straightened your hair. As for throwing on yesterday's jeans...

Oh there was a woman who had a habit of going to our corner shop in a shortie, red nightie and slippers, i'd seen her in there myself a few times.

Anyways, dp had been sent to the shop for alcohol provisions one night and came back a short while later, red faced and gibbering, parently he'd been bent at the fridge down sorting the fosters from the grolsch, looked up to stand and practically had his nose in nightie womans flange as she was bent at the crisps.

Of course I sympathised through my howls of tear streamed laughter Wink

I have no idea what mr nudey was chatting about, it all looked terribly normal , so normal in fact that I was well past them when I suddenly thought 'did I really just see that?!' Thankfully it was a nice warm sunny day so he didn't need to be embarrassed about shrinkage 'n shit.
