I don't mind the Seven part but did they have to ruin the name Harper?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 11/07/2011 06:29

That's the name of the Beckham's child. Odd but no more peculiar than the others I suppose.

CheerfulYank · 11/07/2011 06:35

Damn, I should have put money on Harper! I thought that might be it, but reconsidered on the assumption that they'd go uber girly.

Gastonladybird · 11/07/2011 06:49

Sounds like a toilet cleaner

cjbartlett · 11/07/2011 06:53

Is harper a boys name too? Really thought they'd go for something more girly

TheMagnificentBathykolpian · 11/07/2011 06:55

Sounds like a miscarriage of justice to me.

Free the Harper Seven...

CurrySpice · 11/07/2011 06:58

I assume it's after Harper Lee and no Harpers Bazaar?! Shock

Knackeredmother · 11/07/2011 06:59

Gaston, exactly what I thought! Was there a toilet cleaner called this?

OhBuggerandArse · 11/07/2011 07:01

Seven for Beckham's Man U short, I suppose.

travellingwilbury · 11/07/2011 07:02

Blake Sevens sister Grin

Or am I just far too old ?

OhBuggerandArse · 11/07/2011 07:02

Grr, too early in the morning. Beckham's MU shirt, not his shorts. Can you name a child after your shorts?

SilveryMoon · 11/07/2011 07:02

Another celeb called their child Harper didn't they? Was it myleene klass?

CurrySpice · 11/07/2011 07:04

Yes "OhBuggerandArse"

Then you'd be called "Shorts"

MoaningMcMyrtlepants · 11/07/2011 07:04

The toilet cleaner is Harpic.

No Travelling I was a BS fan too :)

HairyGrotter · 11/07/2011 07:08

I'd have thought they'd have gone more feminine although, I quite like it.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 11/07/2011 07:10

Sounds like a lager.

purepurple · 11/07/2011 07:14

Sounds like those big cans of beer that were around in the 70s- Party Seven.
Poor child.

Furball · 11/07/2011 07:20

silverymoon - you're right - myleenes = Hero Harper

lottiejenkins · 11/07/2011 07:28

I think Harper is a gorgeous name. Very solid and traditional.

HappyDoll · 11/07/2011 07:42

I quite like it, although the world seems hell bent on insisting its linked to Harpers Bazaar and ignoring the possible Harper Lee connection?!

She would be the 7th member of the family if they had previously lost a child as has been reported.

EricNorthmansMistressOfPotions · 11/07/2011 07:53

At least Harper is a proper girls' name, albeit american. They do have strong american connections. Better than Brooklyn and Cruz! Seven is....well a bit silly. I understand the idea, but why not find an actual name that means seven/seventh?

TillyIpswitch · 11/07/2011 07:55

George Costanza's ideal baby name was Seven. Grin

languagepedantic · 11/07/2011 08:49

Wonder if they have realised that her nickname will be Harpie..... (ugly winged bird-women in Greeek mythology - yes I had to look it up!)
