To think Feastival Music should stop by 11pm!!

Im unlucky enough to live near to where the Sonisphere Feastival is, which is heavy rock music, like linkin park, matalica ect, so pretty heavey stuff.

People start arriving on the Thursday and the whole thing kicks off on a Friday until Monday. The music is going all day but is also going passed 11pm, I managed to get to sleep at about 12am last night it was still going :(

Its bad enough that all the cash points are emptied the roads are shut and the whole place is full of young people dressed in black and metal, but I have had enough now.

AIBU??

Yes - You Are - I am sure that you probably went to something similar when you were younger and didn't think twice about the neighbours .... it's their turn now and what is one/two nights in the whole scheme of things..

We have the same here - the music is wafting on the air - but not the cash-point problem.... but living in the country cash counts for nothing - bartering is better...

fgaaagh · 09/07/2011 23:19

11pm?

YABU.

It's a festival - it doesn't happen every week - live with it, as annoying as it may be! Smile

usualsuspect · 09/07/2011 23:19

oh yes please ,can I camp in your garden Grin

LineRunner · 09/07/2011 23:21

That's not bad idea lisad, to go away for the weekend.

Metallica. uuurgh.

DoNotTakeMeSiriusly · 09/07/2011 23:21

We spent 6 years living in a flat that was within hearing distance of a local rave in the woods, always on a blazing hot summers night, couldnt complain because we attended before kids. Fucking great night aswell!!

I would lie in bed listening to the tump thump, thinking about what a good night everyone would be having! #

I'm so fucking considerate me!

Where's me medal?

PersonalClown · 09/07/2011 23:22

All those in favour of overtaking LisaD123's house for Sonisphere weekend next year...sigh in please!Grin

lisad123 · 09/07/2011 23:23

I might not mind so much if it was good music Grin
If it was one night, I could understand completely but its 4 nights!

BullieMama · 09/07/2011 23:26

Save a space for me !!!

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 09/07/2011 23:26

Grand Prix here. Will be woken up at stupid o'clock by helicopters. Can't go anywhere due to diversions and road blocks and have to listen to noisy F1 cars. But only one weekend and generates revenue in the area.

It'll all be over by tomorrow Lisa Smile

stargazer83 · 09/07/2011 23:40

My DB and SIL have spent a small fortune going to the feastival. Last seen my DB was in jeans and a liverpool shirt so hardly black and metal. SIL had just celibrated her 36th birthday so hardly young so YABU on those accounts.

Although I'm with you on the crap music score :o

I only 4 miles away. It's been fine. Misery guts!

BimboNo5 · 09/07/2011 23:50

Dont be so fucking boring. Killjoy

Andrewofgg · 10/07/2011 00:32

YANBU if you said midnight. But the volume should in any event be kept down so that it is not heard beyond the venue - music that is worth hearing does not need to be amplified to deafness levels and music that does is not worth hearing.

worraliberty · 10/07/2011 00:34

Get over it, it's not every night of the week!

squeakytoy · 10/07/2011 00:36

You will have heard Slash a little while ago, apparently he was awesome Grin
