DP calls me his little cum-bucket. I didn't mind at first because I didn't realise what it meant (I thought he was saying come-bucket although I realise that doesn't make sense) but he's saying it outside of the home too which is even worse. I saw him writing a text to his mate who we're going out with at the weekend and he refered to me as "cb". He denies it was short for cum-bucket but refused to say what else it could mean!

Is he Australian? (no disrespect intended to the aussies) .... it's just that my friend went out with an Australian bloke for many years and he nicknamed her his "shaft slider". She thought it was funny.

Aussie blokes can be a little old fashioned, chauvinistic and macho in their manner but also generally pride themselves on being gentlemanly and chivalrous ime.

I think if an Aussie bloke called his female partner this delightful term he would get short shrift and raised eyebrows from his mates.

It is not an acceptable term, even as a joke, in Aussie culture.

'Little woman' or 'the missus' is though but usually used in a jokey and affectionate way as Australian men realise that Aussie females are the real boss in the relationship!
