because I am sitting on about 4 feet of grass by the M4 with a toddler in his pyjamas and smoke pouring out of the car.

The world hates me.

Having been though this - twice - with 3 kids in the snow, I can totally sympathise! Hope you have AA cover!

Pumpernickel10 · 23/06/2011 20:27

Sending lots of hugs ((()))
I'm sure a hunky AA or RAC man is on his way

It took forever to even get through to the AA. Bloody voice operated system.

'say one if you have broken down'

'one! One! Cunting fucking one ok?!'

knobbysEx · 23/06/2011 20:30

No need to demand sympathy, lots coming your way, with a little (thank god it's not me this time!)
Hope your little one enjoys the adventure, and that help is with you soon. x x x

We have found a lovely strip of grass with a sheer drop down to a side road and we are eating a sandwich and admiring the mutant ladybirds.

TheOldestCat · 23/06/2011 20:31

Sympathy from me. Been there (the M4 in the rain in November with one-year-old DD with tonsillitis).

Bloody M4.

Hope the AA rock up very very soon.

expatinscotland · 23/06/2011 20:32

Oh crap! Stay well back away from the car. Hope you get out of there soon.

expatinscotland · 23/06/2011 20:32

Have been there, too.

TandB · 23/06/2011 20:32

They are at junction three! We are saved! Saved!

OP posts:
Moodykat · 23/06/2011 20:32

Where on M4? And what a shit thing to happen.

TandB · 23/06/2011 20:33

[look around for sign saying 'Expat woz here']

Imnotaslimjim · 23/06/2011 20:34

you have my sympathy too - been there, 30 mile from home big bang from the engine. 3 year old and 1 year old in tow. Remember I have RAC through bank account so call them. They come out and tell me that I'm only covered for towing up to 10 mile or to nearest garage (was 8pm and we knew it was the head gasket) had to get BIL to come and collect us

Hope a hero in a van comes to help you soon and its nothing too serious

youarekidding · 23/06/2011 20:34

Oh kungfu. Glad you have food. Glad help is on the way. Have you anyone to come take your LO?

Just to (hopefully!) make you laugh. When I broke down in Tenerife (lived there) the Guardia got the Local Police to take DS, then 1yo home to daddy as I had the car and was stuck in a storm on the side of the motorway on a bridge. Have a feeling the neighbours curtains were twitching that night. Grin

TandB · 23/06/2011 20:35

Sodding AA just overshot!

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 23/06/2011 20:35

Cool.

Write 'kungfu fucked off'. That's what I would write, with my name of course, rather than 'expat wuz here.'

cheesesarnie · 23/06/2011 20:36

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2011 20:36

oh no, yanbu at all, thats horrid Do you want to play I spy while you wait for the hunky rescuer to arrive?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2011 20:37

x-post.
sodding aa man. Kick his tyres surreptiously when he gets back to you.

youarekidding · 23/06/2011 20:37

Jeez, you'd think they had a map on them, they make them FFS. Grin
