I have bent my ring and it is stuck on my finger how can I get it off?

The more I try and can't the more I am panicking which is really not helping me.

soap? go outside in the cold your fingers will shrink its no good if they are hot. dont panic and make them swell up either!

Water and lots of fairy liquid ...ice pack?? The trick is not to panic ,make it cold so it isnt swollen and use lots of soap ..failing that a&e

Can you run it under warm water, the heat will probably make it expand.

I would put your hand in cold water, dry it and try it with handcream. If not, try in the morning when your fingers are not so swollen.

Have you tried fairy liquid/something similar to help slide it off?

i had to get a nice man in camden to cut a ring off my finger once :( sad times.

Have tried cold water. I am off to try fairy liquid now....I can't leave it on until morning as my finger is hurting now Sad

push the finger through the ring rather than pulling at the ring.

Try some handcream if you don't have fairy liquid.

IF it is that tight and you can't get it off you will have to go to casualty and they will cut it off. If it bends that easily then it isn't an expensive ring and your finger is more important than a ring.

Don't wait till morning-your hand swells at night. If painful now then sorry- you'll have to bite the bullet and get it cut off. A&E may be your only option at this time of night:(

Cold hands, olive oil and try to 'screw' the ring off your finger by that I mean twisting motion not a pulling one

During my time in A&E I was 100% successful in ring removal. Where do you live and I'll come round and do it for you if you want Grin

Always used the same method, copious amount of washing up liquid or liquid hand soap, not a lot of water if any and a little patience.

Get someone else to help by pulling the skin on your finger towards your hand as you try to get it off. Fairy liquid is good too. Let us know.....

all of the above!! but also wrap cotton tread tight around your finger above the ring. This will make your finger thinner.

Windolene works - bizarre but true. Leave your finger alone for a while to let any swelling ease off from where you've been trying to remove the ring (you could also wrap it in an ice pack for five minutes or so, or run it under the cold tap), then spray loads of windolene on it and twist the ring round and round to get it off.

have got it back into shape now but finger swollen and cut. have hnd in bsg of frzen veg. sorry 1 hand typing lol
