Following the roasties and gravy threads, how many yorkshire puds would you eat with your roast beef, I would have three or four.

Do you have yorkshires with just beef or other stuff as well?

OP posts:
NorksAreMessy · 13/04/2011 20:46

I thought you meant yorkshire terriers, and I wouldn't put even one of those on my plate...too hairy

squeakytoy · 13/04/2011 20:46

We have them with any roast dinner.. doesn't have to just be beef.

I also cook large square ones, and we have them filled with things like sausage and mash, stew and mash, chicken casserole..

DeepPurple · 13/04/2011 20:48

3 small or 2 large

ginmakesitallok · 13/04/2011 20:48

depends on how many roasties I've had.....

MavisEasterbunny · 13/04/2011 20:49

One.

Reading these threads makes me realise I must have an abnormally small appetite!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 13/04/2011 20:49

Two with a Sunday roast, one if midweek dinner. How did I arrive at that? No idea.

I have them with everything I can get away with, love 'em. Mmm cold yorkies spread with Dairylea.

CarGirl · 13/04/2011 20:49

I make 12 at a time so depends how many people I'm catering for

Oblomov · 13/04/2011 20:50

yorkshires with everything. ds1 in particular loves them.

NettoSuperstar · 13/04/2011 20:50

2 small, same with roasties.
I have a fairly small appetite and am boring careful with portion sizes so I can eat whatever foods I like and not put on weight.

mrspnut · 13/04/2011 20:51

We have them every sunday, and I can usually eat one with dinner and then some more cold later with syrup and cream.

pinkstinks · 13/04/2011 20:51

depends if they are as big as the one in my photos.... Grin

usualsuspect · 13/04/2011 20:52

2 or 3 or maybe 4 Blush

geraldinetheluckygoat · 13/04/2011 20:54

When we were little my gran used to keep some for pudding and spread with real butter and then sprinkle sugar on top. YUM! I gave this to the ds's last week (hillariously adding blueberries too, as if this made it more healthy)and they loved it! Today they had one each for pudding and also some sliced strawberries and a rosette of squirty cream. Was v. impressive Grin

in answer to the question, two small. One for pudding.

Mumwithadragontattoo · 13/04/2011 21:10

pinkstinks Wow - that is an impressive Yorkshire pudding!

UrsulaBuffay · 13/04/2011 21:11

Jesus Christ I want a roast dinner now

pinkstinks · 13/04/2011 21:13

thanks mumwithadragontattoo
it was the first time id ever made one!
unfortunately my subsequent efforts have been nowhere near as good :(
Beginners luck i think!

WowOoo · 13/04/2011 21:15

As many as are available. usually 4 ish, but I have been known to eat many, many more than that Blush

I too want a roast dinner now. Am going to make a corker this weekend.

TastesLikePanda · 13/04/2011 21:15

3 every time. And not just with roast dinner. But always with gravy. Sometimes will have them with sausage and mash and onion gravy - yum!

Northernlurker · 13/04/2011 21:18

4-6 Grin My favourite food Smile

onceamai · 13/04/2011 21:46

I usually make twelve for 4. I have one - the other three share 11 not always equally. Only ever with beef though.

YouaretooniceNOT · 13/04/2011 21:48

It is too personal a question.

GreenEyesandHam · 13/04/2011 21:53

Has anyone seen the advert for Aunt Bessies where there's a plate with chicken (I think), yorkshires and tomatoes?

Tomatoes and yorkshires?

Perverts.

And please no one say 'yorkie puds' on this thread, or I may have to explode

AliceWorld · 13/04/2011 21:56

In Yorkshire we have them the size of a dinner plate so you have one with all your roast dinner inside.

theoldbrigade · 13/04/2011 22:04

Not only Yorkshire puds. was brought up with suet pud which I still make as on auto pilot at the same time.

Go to the trouble of roasting in my view get as many calories on the plate as possible !!

Triggles · 13/04/2011 22:22

Depends if we can manage to get any. DS2 & DS3 love them, and they tend to disappear rather rapidly. Hmm Grin
