Following the roasties and gravy threads, how many yorkshire puds would you eat with your roast beef, I would have three or four.

Do you have yorkshires with just beef or other stuff as well?

One large one 9in x 9in tin for 5 of us.

mind you dd1 (7yrs) and ds (2yrs) eat most of it. DD2(3yrs) won't eat the crispy bits Hmm.

Me and Dh not that keen on either roast potatoes or yorkshire pudding.

One, maybe two small ones.

DH cooks once a week on a Sunday. He will not make any less than 24 Yorkshire puds. As we are 2 adults and 2 smallish children this makes leftovers and I love them cold dipped into leftover gravy. Almost, note, ALMOST as good as the roast itself.

Nigella likes her leftover Yorkshire puds drizzled with honey or golden syrup - she is not wrong. Smile

Maelstrom · 13/04/2011 22:40

Gosh, I cannot even finish one!

tethersegg · 13/04/2011 22:46

Counting the ones dipped in cold gravy eaten over the kitchen sink at 6am for breakfast?

Oh. I see I am not alone in my love for this particulary delicacy Grin

Individual Yorkshire puds are a crap, southern invention. They scream "cheap pub lunch - aunt bessies". In Yorkshire, we make one enormous pud with proper beef dripping and everyone has a substantial wedge incorporating high rise edge and moist centre. Blue smoke for ultimate rise.

worraliberty · 13/04/2011 22:55

FFS they're just smaller puds lol

tethersegg · 13/04/2011 23:04

I didn't say 17 small ones, Mike Wink
