One of my facebook friends posted this as her status:

'So you ask... do I work? Uh yes, I work 24 hours a day. Why? Because I am a mom. I am an alarm clock, a cook, a maid, a teacher, a nanny, a nurse, a handyman, a security officer, a judge/jury, a photographer, a counselor, a chauffeur, an ATM, a jungle gym & a comforter. I don't get holidays, sick pay or days off. I work through the DAY & NIGHT. I am on call at ALL hours. Re-post if you are proud to be a mom!!!'

I commented 'lazy bitch' AIBU?

I hate that kind of post - hers, not yours.

So everyone who washes their clothes is a maid, someone who makes themselves a sandwich is a chef, someone who snaps a photo is a photographer?

It's complete crap!

And what's with the 'mom' bit? Is she American, or has she just copied and pasted it from junk mail?

I think those ridiculous 'copy and paste' bollocks posts on facebook are fair game for any comment. I loathe them.

I hate those copy and paste craps. I am at home with dd, some days suck, but some days I get to lounge on the grass OB the sunny back garden playing with stacky cups. Swings and roundabouts (well, they were yesterday.)

I can't stand this kind of thing, it's like a chain letter. What a load of bollocks!

You're not unreasonable, but she might not be your friend for much longer.

I have a 'friend' who posts stuff like this all the time. Only rarely does she post anything else. Might 'hide' her. :o

I have a cull every so often, and lots hidden. I think I'm a bit anti-social. Grin

Of course you are. It's appalling uncouth. What kind of person posts a message saying "lazy bitch"?

I think 'lazy bitch' should refer to the woman copying and pasting something from a junk email and trying to pass it off as her own original thoughts.
