My DS is appalled. He's not crazy that I like pickle sandwiches either. Where did I go wrong with him?

Urghhhhh bleurghhghhghghghghg YUCK

I love them both, but NOT together!!

Now pickle sandwiches.... that's entirely different Grin

poopnscoop · 29/03/2011 17:11

I think you're quite bonkers Smile on the marmite on chocolate digestives... but the pickled sandwich might float my boat. Do you enjoy piccalilli?

GwendolineMaryLacey · 29/03/2011 17:12

Yes. YABU to waste Marmite in scuha fashion and YABunbelievablyU to eat plain chocolate digestives.

grovel · 29/03/2011 17:15

I luuuuuurve piccalili

Xales · 29/03/2011 17:15

Oooh sounds you. Have you tried chocolate with a hint of marmite?

grovel · 29/03/2011 17:16

Gwendoline, I am not wasting Marmite. There is no world shortage is there?

YABU to sully a lovely choccie biscuit with the evil toxic sludge that is Marmite. You should be ashamed of yourself, OP.

poopnscoop · 29/03/2011 17:18

Picailili and cheese, with some piccalili... hmmm

grovel · 29/03/2011 17:19

I'm damned if I'll feel shame. I expect the first person to eat HP sauce with Beef Wellington was similarly pilloried but now we all do it. Don't we?

Figgyrolls · 29/03/2011 17:20

yabu

pickle however is a way of life and no jar is safe in this house

GrimmaTheNome · 29/03/2011 17:20

YANBU - just plain weird.

The only excuse is if you are pregnant.

poopnscoop · 29/03/2011 17:21

'Picailili and cheese, with some piccalili... hmmm'

I meant Picailili and cheese, with some lettuce...

grovel · 29/03/2011 17:22

Richard Branson only wins customer loyalty for Virgin because he reminds us of pickle.

vaginiasmonalogue · 29/03/2011 17:22

Strange indeed. I love cottage cheese on mine!

grovel · 29/03/2011 17:22

On your what, vaginia?

My first reaction was ewwwwwwwwww. Fairly closely followed by "Still, can't knock it til I've tried it". I'll have to wait until dh isn't looking though. If it's so gross, why do I now feel so compelled to try it? This is your fault grovel !

catinthehat2 · 29/03/2011 17:25

freaks
you're pretty much all freaks on this thread
you need to take a good long look at yourselves and learn to behave like normal people

grovel · 29/03/2011 17:25

You'll love it.

catinthehat2 · 29/03/2011 17:25

Piccallilli is the snot of the devil by the way, and it should be made illegal

trumpton · 29/03/2011 17:26

YYY marmite chocolate is lush.

ForeverNamechanging · 29/03/2011 17:28

Marmite and salt and vinegar crisp on white bread is heavenly!!!

Im dribbling just writing this

notinmypocket · 29/03/2011 17:30

Whatever floats your biscuit.

ChippingInMistressSteamMop · 29/03/2011 17:32

I love marmite on very hot toast best but also on cold toast, sandwiches, cheese on toast... I use it in cooking - but I just cannot get my head around the idea of it with anything sweet - the thought of it with chocolate makes me gag! Confused

I'm vegetarian so don't make Beef Wellington, but I know how much work (& expense!!) is involved, so if I went to all of that trouble to make it and someone put HP sauce anywhere near it - they would die a certain death.

LessNarkyPuffin · 29/03/2011 17:33

Hmm. I shall have to do some research before I pass judgement.

grovel · 29/03/2011 17:35

Thank you to those who have at least not passed judgement immediately. I note that this thread is above one about fussy eating. Get a grip!
