My DS is appalled. He's not crazy that I like pickle sandwiches either. Where did I go wrong with him?

Chocolate is the food of the Gods and adding anything savoury to it is just WRONG

RandyRussian · 29/03/2011 17:54

That worked well - not.

GrimmaTheNome · 29/03/2011 17:58

I think as an example of total wrongness it was actually very apt! Grin

Vallhala · 29/03/2011 18:00

Oh god you're disgusting! Ugh!

:o

grovel · 29/03/2011 18:09

Chocolate is a crutch for the emotionally needy. Marmite is the food of the Gods. With my recipe you get nectar AND emotional support. Like 2 of your 5 a day in one easy hit.

Yuck fucking Yuck!

BarbarianMum · 29/03/2011 18:30

Wrong on so many levels.

but your chocolate biscuits, marmite and lack of tastebuds so no, YANBU. I suppose.

Katisha · 29/03/2011 18:37

I think it could work. In the way that salted peanuts work with chocolate.
Might give it a try later in spirit of scientific enquiry.

grovel · 29/03/2011 18:45

Katisha, good for you. PLAIN chocolate digestives.

Katisha · 29/03/2011 18:48

Right. Off to try. I'll be back.

Chocolate digestives or plain?

OP posts:
Katisha · 29/03/2011 19:02

OH lord now I am going to have to get the gherkins out.

No I'm sorry - the marmite/choc biscuit thing didn't work in the way I'd hoped. The marmite is too overpowering and doesn't meld with the dark chocolate taste. I tried it at different intensities of marmite but I don't think it's a newly discovered classic pairing.

But agree about hobnobs - I call them carpet tiles.

Katisha, you have lovely manners. I take the trouble to post an exciting new recipe on here. You try it and critique it sensitively. You are a credit to this site.

Katisha · 29/03/2011 19:13

Grovel, it has been a pleasure. Thank you for your kind remarks.

munkysea · 29/03/2011 19:23

YABU I'm sure it is illegal.

grovel · 29/03/2011 19:26

Yikes! I don't do illegal. A bit of unlawful sometimes, I suppose.
