Parked outside my house and as baby was sleeping in the back decided to have a quick look at newspaper before going inside (he always wakes up when I move the carseat..) A crocodile of little kids from the primary school nearby were walking along the road with some teachers/parents off on a trip I guess and one of the adults turned round after theyd passed me and took a flash photo of me in my car!

AIBU to feel a bit annoyed about this?

Weird!

thumbwitch · 16/03/2011 14:20

YANBU - very odd indeed - you weren't on yellow lines or anything? Perhaps it was one of those "paedophile on every corner" people, who thought you were casing the joint.

cornsilk678 · 16/03/2011 14:20

Confused whatever for?

Hammy02 · 16/03/2011 14:20

Absolutely YANBU. What on earth were they thinking? Shock

eloisah · 16/03/2011 14:20

I know it IS weird and now I feel weird about it

cornsilk678 · 16/03/2011 14:21

you weren't naked were you?

KnittedBreast · 16/03/2011 14:21

i know its too late now but i would have asked what they were doing that for

reinitindear · 16/03/2011 14:21

I would go to the school and ask what they thought they were doing.Very odd.

eloisah · 16/03/2011 14:22

Ive no idea WHAT they were thinking Hammy.. no yellow lines and directly outside my own house. bizarre.

sims2fan · 16/03/2011 14:22

Are you positive it was just of you and the car? I'm a teacher and have taken children on a walk around the local area before, and took photos of local streets. Could it have been that?

Rosa · 16/03/2011 14:22

I would ring up and ask ...seeing as you know what school they were from .

AurraSing · 16/03/2011 14:23

Are you sure they didn't take a photo of the children?

eloisah · 16/03/2011 14:23

well knitted breast I was in the car and they were at the end of the road it was just as they were turning the corner, it took me a few seconds to register what had happened and the more think about it the odder it seems.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 16/03/2011 14:23

Perhaps they were simply taking photos of the environment that they'd been talking about on their walk. DSs class is going into town on Friday to do just that.

MosEisley · 16/03/2011 14:23

What Sims2fan just said is most likely.

or else it is very weird.

eloisah · 16/03/2011 14:23

no she directly turned back and took a photo of me, Im sure of it.

Merrylegs · 16/03/2011 14:24

It's mad. Was it definitely aimed at you? Ring the school. Ask why they did it. And what they plan to do with the photo. And then tell us. Please.

eloisah · 16/03/2011 14:25

the kids had gone/ were going ( it was a line) round the corner

OP posts:
KatieMiddleton · 16/03/2011 14:26

Don't ring the school you'll sound like a loon. You don't know they were photographing you. I'd just put it down to one of those things and move on.

SoupDragon · 16/03/2011 14:26

So, what they actually did is to take a photo of the road they'd just walked up...? You can't tell exactly wht the camera is pointing at.

eloisah · 16/03/2011 14:27

KatieMiddleton you are probably right, maybe just odd rather than offensive..

OP posts:
eloisah · 16/03/2011 14:28

Its a really boring road SoupDragon, it did feel like it was directed at me.

OP posts:
TheSleepFairy · 16/03/2011 14:30

Very odd, it would weird me out to.

oftenpurple · 16/03/2011 14:32

Probably a hyperaware parent thinking 'I'd best record this, just in case' type of thing. Presumably, you were watching (out of mild interest, I know!) the children and adults as they walked past.

Wouldn't worry about it though and wouldn't ring the school myself.

squeakytoy · 16/03/2011 14:35

I think you are being paranoid! Maybe she like the colour of your car... who knows.. :)
