Defending greggs!

Their sausage rolls in particular!

I know they are seen as being up there with fruit shoots etc but today I will defend them to the death!

Dd is 14 months and has had a cold for a few days but woke today with a temperature of 38.4, it has gone up to 39.6 and back to 38 but dd doesn't want to play, or really eat, she has had bf and some very diluted squash but generally not interested.... Until ds (11) came back with a ring doughnut for her and some greggs sausage rolls! She basically ignored the cake but gobbled up the sausage rolls!

Yay! All hail greggs sausage rolls!

She is now on me asleep thanks to food and ibuprofen...

46p?!

I paid 95p for one in Greggs today!

The sausage, bean nd cheese melts are delicous!!

I haven't been there for years. tbh, I only realised they were still about when I read an article about how their sales had gone up!

A sausage roll in my local greggs is 80p and they are really discusting! It is not sausage meat inside, it is what they call mechanicly reclaimed meat. Yuck.

Their pasties are gross as well. I don't see the big fuss over how great greggs is either.

My local independent do lovely sausage rolls and they have min of 70 per cent pork in them! Plus they are 70p, much cheaper then greggs!

Greggs are really expensive for what you get and anyone who buys from their either have no taste buds or don't care what they put in their body!

Yabu.

There isn't a Greggs near us and i do sometimes crave one of their yum yums.
Their chicken and mango mayo sandwiches are tasty too.
BackToBasics- I do care what i put in my body but sometimes a little bit of what you fancy does you good.

ElectricSoftParade yes it was Carricks! Lovely cheese pasties.
A Greggs sausage roll is known as a weaning pasty round here Grin

I think if they can charge £2-£3 for a sandwich then they can afford to lose a bit of money on the sausage rolls. I like them, but they give me heartburn so I don't have them often.
