put a 'b' in front of what you'd normally type to get them Euphemia. ngrin, bconfused, etc. Inside square brackets, obvs.

[bgrin] Its our first Burns night in scotland tomorrow (having just moved here) and we are very excited about it although not really sure what we are supposed to do - but have bought haggis, neeps and tatties and have whisky in the house! Think we will have to get some Burns poetry online [bblush]
